State of Hawaii Department of Defense's Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA) has a website with information on signing up for emergency alerts and what radio stations to listen to for more information. Visit the website and select the "Get Alerts" option under the "Plan & Prepare" menu at the top of the website. Links to the 4 county and 1 state emergency alert sign ups, social media sites, websites, and contact information are listed. Radio stations for the 4 counties are also listed. Some stations have links so you can listen live online.

(Food Pantry Plus) This program provides emergency food and diaper assistance for the community. Hours of operation are subject to change without notice. Please call to confirm operation hours. Parents are required to bring a picture ID and each child's birth certificate (one time verification). Families are allowed to receive diapers once a month, per child, ages from infant to 3 years old. Please call to confirm operation hours and the availability of diapers.

Services include skilled and intermediate nursing home, rehab and outpatient therapy, senior day care center, hospice house, medically certified kitchen, adult residential care home type II.

Program helps those that are 75+ years old to schedule appointments online or over the phone for the COVID-19 Vaccine. CVS Pharmacy administers the vaccine by appointment only based on local eligibility guidelines. It’s critical that people understand they cannot walk in or call the local store for appointments, and must book their appointment online. We wouldn’t want to create frustration or confusion for people if they try to schedule appointments through the local store. For those without internet access they can use our call center, but we are still working to get confirm that live agents can be made available on the right operating hours to support Hawaii. Call center agents use the same digital scheduler, so it is not faster to necessarily call in, it’s truly a solution for those who cannot access our digital tools.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, games and sports, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. The National Human Trafficking Hotline is a national, toll-free hotline, available to answer calls from anywhere in the country, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. The Hotline is a program of Polaris, a non-profit, non-governmental organization working exclusively on the issue of human trafficking. Provides an array of family skill building, child abuse and neglect prevention services within the Kalihi. Both Centers offer information and referral. Both Family Centers focus on parents, school and community involvement to work together to improve academic achievement for children. (HCHP, CBCM-RS, Community Based Case Management- Recovery Services, Ohana Project Services, Shelter Plus Care) Health Care for the Homeless Project (HCHP) is offered at our Kaaahi street clinic and Kohou street clinic. The Kaaahi street clinic is at the Institute for Human Services (IHS) Homeless Shelter for Women and Families. Primary Care health services are provided to single women and families who are guests of the IHS Homeless Shelter, single men, and community members: Including adult medicine, chronic disease management, immunizations and flu shots, infant and well-child check ups, physical examinations, psychiatric counseling and medication management for adults, and women’s health.

(Emergency Food Pantry) Eleele Baptist Church distributes bags of food to those that are in need on a first come, first served basis. You must call first and leave a clear message with a name and a call back phone number for emergency food. Speak slowly and clearly with little to no background noise when leaving your message and call back phone number. Emergency food pick up time and location will be discussed during the return call.

(Crime Stoppers) Provides law enforcement, criminal investigation and crime prevention. Investigates accidents and provides traffic control. Registers firearms. Accepts information on missing persons. HPD does not handle driver's licensing or motor vehicle registration, abandoned vehicles or safety inspections (these are provided by Department of Finance, Motor Vehicle & Licensing Division).

The Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped serves as the regional library and machine lending agency for the blind and physically disabled throughout the state and the outlying Pacific Islands in cooperation with the Library of Congress and the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicaped. BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download) - Digital audio books and magazines are available for download from t he National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
