Angel Flight West is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization that arranges free, non-emergency air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs. Our network of 1,500+ pilots, as well as commercial airline partners, throughout the 13 western states donate their aircraft, piloting skills, and all flying costs to help families in need, enabling them to receive vital treatment that might otherwise be inaccessible because of financial, medical, or geographic limitations. Ambulatory patients needing medical transportation to the 13 Western States; Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming may be eligible. This includes inter-island transportation as well.

Provides short-term acute psychiatric hospital care for adolescents and adults.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include gym with weight room and gymnastics room, meeting room building, arts and crafts building, six tennis courts, play apparatus, three softball fields, a baseball field, two outdoor basketball courts and an outdoor volleyball court. The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. Hawaii Dog Foundation (HDF) is a dog rescue organization based on Oahu. HDF is run entirely by volunteers. Our focus is on taking in unwanted dogs; caring for them in our network of foster homes; and then finding permanent, loving homes for them. (FSS, Family Strengthening Service) This program helps families provide a safe home for their children, promote positive parenting, and prevent child abuse and neglect. Families receive free, short-term, home visiting services designed to provide support and help maintain and improve individual and family function by improving parenting skills. The program also provides information and linkages to community resources. Assists families that are referred to us by the Child Welfare Services. Strengthening the family's skills to help them provide a nurturing environment and connects them with community resources.

(Hale Hoomalu) Provides services to individuals who are experiencing domestic violence or threatened with same. Offers protective services for families with abused or neglected children through the TRO process (if applicable). Provides psycho-educational groups (both court ordered and voluntary) to men who batter. Provides on-going support groups for victims of domestic violence.
