(Kahoolawe Island Reserve Commission) The Kaho'olawe Island Reserve Commission (KIRC) was established by the Hawai'i State Legislature in 1993 to manage the Kaho'olawe Island Reserve while held in trust for a future Native Hawaiian sovereign entity. Elder Law Program focuses on legal issues of socially and economically needy elders on Oahu and provides advice/counsel and referrals for problems involving public entitlements, guardianship/conservatorship, housing, landlord/tenant, elder abuse, age discrimination, consumer protection, healthcare decisions, and planning for incapacity and death.

(Ka Puuwai O Na Keiki, Enhanced Healthy Start, DHS Home Visiting Services) We are a team of Home Visitors that respond to referrals from CWS for Maui County and also FSS and VCM for the island of Maui, and then offer screening for risk factors, assessments, treatment planning and service delivery to reach goals of reunification, parenting skills, support, resources and referrals. Each family referred to our team will be getting visits from a Registered Nurse to identify any developmental challenges and help with health needs. She is also a lactation specialist. They will also receive visits from a Clinical Supervisor for assistance in life with things like addiction, domestic violence and mental health. And each family will be assigned a Family Support Worker who will offer Nurturing Parenting lessons and offering support in an effort to identify and decrease risk factors as well as increasing protective factors. Ka Pu'uwai O Na Keiki never has a waitlist but is specifically referral only for parents and foster parents with a child between the ages of 0 to 3. Accepts collect calls.

Through public-private partnerships, Malama Maui Nui stretches government dollars further by gaining the in-kind support of local businesses and volunteers to malama aina in Maui Nui. Projects include marine debris cleanups, coral reef outreach & education, invasive plant control, native outplanting, illegal dumpsite clearing, litter pickups, graffiti cleanup, recycling, community paint exchange, and environmental education. Ongoing volunteer opportunities are available in Kihei at our Laie Wetland Restoration Project, in Kahului at Kanaha Beach Park, and at various community.
