(Hale Ho'omalu, Neighborhood Places of Kauai) In partnership with a community Ohana Board and other community agencies, provides family support and family preservation services to the families in defined areas of Kauai. Incorporating a community family center model, Hale Ho'omalu Neighborhood Place provides a healing and nurturing environment in which intervention services are interwoven with prevention activities. Services include information and referral, emergency food pantry, emergency clothes closet, parent skills classes, outreach activities to engage hard to reach families, individual and family counseling, and community activities, volunteer training, SNAP (Food Stamp) application assistance, and cultural awareness activities and more. Hale Ho'omalu is a family support center provided by Child and Family Service, serving Central to East Kauai.

(Adult Behavioral Health Outpatient Treatment Services) Provides outreach into community to assess needs and develop a treatment plan. Provides case management utilizing resources in the community. Conducts health screening and nutrition/diabetic education.

(Four-H Youth Program) Provides an informal youth program, designed to assist youth in acquiring knowledge life skills, and becoming self-directed, productive and contributing members of society. Through active, experiential learning, youth learn about science, communication, personal management, leadership, citizenship, health, safety, and nutrition. Members participate in citizenship projects, literacy program using television; "GHOSTWRITERS"; "KAMP" (Kindergartners Are Most Precious) designed to promote school readiness, success and parent-child interaction; and a "Youth At Risk" educational theatre project.

Operation Hero is an afterschool program that targets military children who have been identified by teachers, counselors, or parents as exhibiting low self-esteem, or who have difficulty adjusting, both academically and sociall t the school environment. Oftentimes, these difficulties can be attributed to frequent moves and family disruption due to deployments. The curriculum is designed to help children cope with the challenges of military life, provide tools to help them succeed in school, and assist them in developing a positive self-image while improving communication skills. This program promotes social responsibility through team-building activities and targets children.

Na Hoaloha volunteers provides round-trip transportation for older adults or people with a disability for needed medical appointments, procedures, grocery shopping, or medications retrievals. Na Hoaloha provides help to those who are home bound and have no access to other forms of transportation. 10 day advanced notice requested.

(Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii) Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls. We come to your home to provide baths or personal care services, with priority given to those with low incomes living in rural areas. (Tutu and Me Traveling Preschool) Tutu and Me aims to identify, recruit, and service this undeserved segment of the Native Hawaiian population through an innovative traveling preschool program done in cooperation with churches and community organizations serving the Hawaiian and part-Hawaiian community. Tutu and Me aims to meet the developmental needs of these young children and to support the grandparents as well as parents and other primary caregivers who are raising them. Teaching teams, comprised of early education educators, travel to pre-selected communities where they set up, conduct, and facilitate the program. The curriculum is organized around learning themes and cultural aspects, as well as those values that continue to influence the lives of native Hawaiian children, are also incorporated into the curriculum.
