(Domestic Violence Advocacy) Families who are enrolled in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Temporary Assistance to Other Needy Families (more commonly known as “welfare”), are required to be engaged in activities that will ultimately lead them to self-sufficiency. Program recipients for whom issues of safety and domestic violence are interfering with their progress can call upon Domestic Violence Advocacy to help them find support to change their situations. Services include: assessment, service planning, counseling services, case management and linkage and referral.

Offers multipurpose senior programs and congregate meals. Serves as a focal point for service delivery and presentations by other agencies.

Employment services for residents of Ohana Ola O Kahumana, Kahumana Learning Centers and people from the West Oahu Community. Services for persons facing barriers to successful employment.

Protects the interests of owners of unclaimed property. Locates unclaimed property owners, heirs, or beneficiaries. Advises claimants on requirements to prove property ownership. Plans, markets and monitors bond issues. Maintains state debt accounting records, redeems bonds and coupons, and assists bondholders with lost, stolen, defaced or destroyed bonds and coupons. Monitors the financial market and invests state funds. Receives, deposits and disburses state funds. Maintains custody of public funds and securities. Processes transfers of funds to trustees for debt service payments and to financial institutions for investment purposes.

The Family Court hears legal matters involving children; domestic relations cases including divorce, child support, paternity, custody matters; domestic violence cases including civil restraining orders involving family members; civil commitment cases, guardianships of adults, and adult abuse cases.

Administers programs to control agricultural pests such as insects, mites, snails, slugs and weeds through the use of natural enemies. Detects and identifies insect pests to agriculture, such as fruit flies, caterpillars, leaf miners, beetles and other plant insect pests.

Provides general medical care, coordination of specialty services and preventive medicine. Provides care in dermatology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, rheumatology and physical therapy. Also provides flu and pneumonia vaccines.

Provides health care coordination to target populations. Participates with communities to problem-solve health issues. Provides health education in adult and child health, chronic diseases, communicable disease and prevention. Facilitates access to health care. Conducts screening tests and source/contact investigations on tuberculosis (TB) cases. Provides health services in public schools, consultation services to private schools, day care, and residential care homes.

Maintains a botanical garden with varieties of plants that conserve water. Tour also includes information on water-saving irrigation systems, mulches, and other xeriscape ideas. Group tours are available by appointment only. Honolulu Board of Water Supply and Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden offer educational workshops that feature xeriscape plants and gardening techniques that will help to conserve water outdoors. Plans, programs, budgets, designs, constructs and inspects improvements such as streets, highways, bridges, drainage and flood control projects, buildings and public works structures. Manages surveys, maps and land related services for the acquisition of lands, rights-of-way, rights-of-entry and easements. Prepares master plans, sets design standards for traffic, roadway and drainage systems. Maintains Kalana O Maui, Kalana Pakui and Old Courthouse building.

An ongoing support group for family members who have experienced a loss in their lives. The group offers the public a chance to explore and exchange experiences in coping with loss, facilitate communications, methods of communicating the memories of loved ones, and more.

Lift HI Foundation offers tailored training-to-good job pathways, in partnership with local employers like Hawaii Pacific Health, that make it easy for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) households to participate. We proactively recruit applicants within communities, geographic or otherwise, with high levels of ALICE households. Our training timetable is a free, full-time training program. Two-fifths of our training focuses on skills such as goal-setting, culture, communication, and managing conflict among others. We currently provide “income replacement” (equivalent to the minimum wage). We partner with employers who are engaged actively throughout training who help with all or part of technical/clinical training, opportunities to visit and shadow in a clinical setting, pre-graduation job interviews, and preferred job consideration. We also contract former graduates to assist our graduates in navigating their new jobs and life.

HHHRC offers ongoing, free, non-judgmental wound care services in our office and in a street-based setting. The clinic provides basic wound care that can be managed in a community setting, which inludes, but is not limited to: -Simple i&Ds that were preformed at the bedside and/or were discharged from the ED -Typical level 4 or 5 patients (based on triage acuity) -Patients appropriate for outpatient setting needing follow-up -Patients with chronic wounds without evidence of acute infection and not requiring IV antibiotics -Dermis layer or subcutaneous layer wounds that do not require debridement -Cellulitis patients without SIRS and reliable to follow-up -Dressing changes with discharge orders

(Kuaana Project) The Hawaii Health & Harm Reduction Center provides the highest quality services for the transgender community. Through advocacy and understanding, our trained staff is able to provide basic social services along with HIV and Hepatitis education and testing.

Aged to Perfection assists adults with disabilities by providing a senior day care experience to home bound, disabled elderly persons. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included. Accepts clients that require 2 person wheelchair assist, clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease and a combination of issues. Includes breakfast, lunch and snack.

Starting Easter Sunday (March/April) each year. Features Kahiko (ancient) hula competition, Auwana (modern) hula competition and the Miss Aloha Hula competition, daily hula shows, Hawaiian arts & crafts and a parade.

Assists families with limited income to plan low-cost, simple, healthy meals. Teaches families to shop wisely, stretch their dollars and resources, and keep foods safe. Meets with homemakers in small groups or individually in the family's home or at community sites.
