Free INTERIM dental clinic for those with no insurance. Provides exams, cleanings, fillings and extractions. Provides root canal work as well. Walk-ins are welcome, though appointments are encouraged. Located in the Aloha United Way building (Building B) on the corner of North Vineyard Blvd and A'ala Street.

(Invasive species) Receives and investigates reports of illegal animals brought into the state. Provides information on animals legally allowed and penalties for restricted animals. Hoa Aina O Makaha provides U-Pick events where guests are welcome to harvest from designated fields, assist farmers with planting, wash and weigh what you harvest, learn health benefits/recipes of whatever is in their baskets, and take starters home for their gardens. U-Pick events are typically scheduled for the last Saturday of each month from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (unless otherwise noted). Visit the website to check the Upcoming Events. Provides comprehensive social work services to seriously mentally ill adults including assessment, assistance in development of individualized service plan. Provides advocacy, and supportive counseling. Offers linkage and referral to additional services such as treatment, housing, psychosocial rehabilitation and entitlement acquisition (welfare, SSI benefits, etc.). Assists in independent living skill building, and provides psycho-education.

(MEO) Works with people who have bad credit, no credit, low-income, and no measurable assets to provide assistance and guidance in the loan application process through loan approval from our Internal and External Loan Committees. Small business loans range from $500 to $10,000 to be used for startup operations or the expansion of an existing small business. Step loans are available after six months of on-time payments. A borrower can seek an additional $25,000 for expansion. Emergency loans ranging from $200 to $2000 are also available.

Representative Payee Services: Provides financial management services to chronically mentally ill individuals which includes but not limited to: aiding/facilitating the payment of essential bills and providing weekly/bi-weekly/monthly allowances to participants. Also includes regular budget meetings, budgeting and financial management classes to individuals or households that meet eligibility requirements.

A Cup of Cold Water is an outreach care van ministry of the Episcopal Churches on Maui and Community Friends delivering basic needs of water, nutrition, clothing and comfort to the neediest of Maui's people. Weekly runs are made to the homeless in Central, West and South Maui on days and times when they are not serviced by others. A Cup of Cold Water Care is an all volunteer outreach and all donations go directly to meeting the basic needs (plus a lot of comfort) of the homeless clients served. A Cup of Cold Water does not help with housing.

(Isolation/Quarantine Orders) For university students attending University of Hawaii campuses across the state, such as UHM, Chaminade University, and Hawaii Pacific University: University students from out-of-state who are studying on Oahu and Kauai can participate in modified quarantine procedures that create a so-called ""modified quarantine bubble"" (MQB) The MQB allows these students to avoid the standard 14-day quarantine when courses begin in the fall semester. (Students began moving into UHM residence halls on Monday, August 17, and courses begin on Monday, August 24.) The MQB includes the following requirements: -All students planning to participate in the MQB must have tested negative for COVID-19, either within 72 hours of their departure when they flew to Hawaii or within 48 hours of their arrival in Hawaii. -Anyone not receiving a negative test must follow the mandatory 14-day quarantine for all travelers to Hawaii. (December 2021 Flood) Offers immediate emergency care services to victims of disaster. Emergency care services include emergency food and clothing. Provides mental health and stress management assistance to victims of disaster. Salvation Army is NOT taking donated items for the floods at this time. People are always welcome to donate items at our Thrift Stores, but NOT specific to flooding. (Hale Mauliola) Shelter facilities provide guests with hot showers, daily meals (3 meals a day), storage lockers, mail service, and access to services that include case management, healthcare, employment, and housing assistance.

(Hiilei Developmental Screening Program) -Hi'ilei Development Screening Program - a free resource for children birth to 5 years old. The Hi`ilei program provides developmental screens and information for families. -Development - children grow and develop throughout their life. Early skills include smiling for the first time, waving “bye bye”, and taking a first step. As they grow, children develop more skills as they play, learn, speak, socialize, and move. -Developmental Screening - a developmental screen is a simple set of questions about what a child can do. It helps families find out if their child is developing like other children of similar age.
