Activities are age- and level-of-functioning appropriate and include chair exercise, arts and crafts, socialization, singing and games that challenge them.

(VASH - Kauai) Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) provides supportive services to meet the immediate and urgent needs of visitors to Hawaii Island who are victimized by crime, have medical emergencies, or suffer other adversities during their stay. Immediate needs may include assistance with canceling credit cards, providing emergency transportation, or garnering resources (soliciting donations) for food and lodging. VASH relies heavily on donations and community support. When needed resources are not readily available, we will make requests and network with other agencies to try and meet needs.

(Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs. The Aloha Diaper Bank Maui Pantry and the Aloha Diaper Bank Kauai Pantry works with partner agencies to distribute diapers to families in need. Launched in January 2020, the Service Excellence Certificate of Achievement curriculum provides fundamental skills for employment in the hospitality industry and beyond. The training marries our unique philosophy for world class service rooted in the Hawaiian culture with world renowned hospitality education from Cornell University. The curriculum was exclusively developed in partnership with the School of Hotel Administration at the Cornell SJ Johnson College of Business, one of the leading hospitality administration programs in the world, for the DOE’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Upon completion of the program’s 9 lessons, students receive a Service Excellence Certificate of Achievement from Cornell University and ClimbHI. The program served 683 students and teachers in its first year, and is currently available for DOE CTE students. (Friends of Mokuula) Friends of Moku'ula Inc. assists in historic preservation and restoration of culturally significant Native Hawaiian sites in the Waine'e Ahupua'a area of Lahaina moku, including Moku'ula, a sacred island buried under a ballpark, and Mokuhinia pond wetlands. Programs include: educational programs for community, historical and cultural tours for visitors, historic site restoration, archaeology, Hawaiian cultural training, historical archive research.

(SASS, Empowering Alternatives Program, EAP, Sexual Assault Response and Advocacy Services, SARAH) Operates a 24-hour crisis hotline for persons affected by a sex assault, including women, men, girls and boys. Offers information, referral and direct support to any person victimized. Support is also provided during police, medical examinations and legal matters surrounding the crime, advocacy, counseling, and therapy.

Organization participates in political advocacy, provides vocational programs through a professional trade academy, provides financial assistance to lessees on Hawaiian home lands, and emergency mortgage, rent, and utilities assistance programs. SBA Microloan Program Starting March 1, 2021 the Hawaiian Council will be accepting loans from $2,500 to $50,000 without a capital contribution from the client. SBA Microloans are oriented to acquisition of inventory, materials, furniture and commercial equipment, improvements to physical plant and working capital. We provide business technical assistance free of charge for the life of the loan. Collateral may be required according to the risk and viability of the business to be financed. Lending is subject to availability of SBA funding. The Kealahou Initiative (Kī) is designed to support the development of ʻōpio leaders through entrepreneurship and innovation. This program is for opio ages 14 years old - 30 years old ready to take their creative ideas and passions through the design and entrepreneurial process, where you can start your own business, social movement, or government initiative. This program will help ʻōpio go from idea to being pitch-ready for investors and supporters at the rate that is best for them.
