(Easter Seals Hawaii Kauai Home and Community Based Services) Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with special needs and their families. Services include - Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP) by professionals who work with parents to meet their child’s developmental goals. Parent coaching and family support from occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, special educators and social workers. Developmental evaluations. Resources, information, and referral services. Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into appropriate settings, such as the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Treatment Focus Areas are Cognitive, Language and Communication, Physical, Development, Social and Emotional, Adaptive/Self Care. Family plays a key role in a child’s life. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges presented by their child with special needs. The partnership between parents and professionals provides an opportunity for parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.

(CCS) Hawaii Department of Human Services (DHS) is making it easier for impacted families to get monetary assistance for child care. They issued emergency rules that set aside many of the requirements usually in place. This means many more families will now be eligible for a special application period. Temporary changes include: -No income restrictions – subsidies are available to all families whose housing or employment have been affected by the fires, no matter the income -No activity requirements – parents will not have to meet work and other activity requirements, like being in school or training -No DHS co-payments -Extra time for missing documentation – families who do not have required eligibility documentation (e.g., proof of child citizenship and age, or state residency) have up to six months to provide paperwork -One-year eligibility – if a family is determined eligible, they will continue to receive that financial help for child care for a full year, no matter changes to income or work If your family was impacted by the fires and needs help paying for child care, please apply today. The Academy for Healthcare Innovation (AHI) Medical Assistant Program provides the comprehensive training needed to work in both clinical and administrative healthcare environments, such as clinics, hospitals and private practices. During the 32 week program, you will learn how to: -Take patient histories -Measure vital signs -Assist with medical procedures -Administer medications under the guidance of a physician -Manage medical records -Schedule appointments -Handle insurance claims -Maintain office correspondence

Provides services to individuals with disabilities who are seeking employment. Provides counseling and guidance, physical and mental restoration, interpreter and reader services, technological aids, occupational licenses and rehabilitation technology.

Operates after-school program, holiday, summer, intersession, waiver days, located at Moiliili Community Center and Jefferson A+, Kaahumana A+ and Lunalilio A+ programs. Transports children from Hokulani, Lunalilo, Kahala, Wilson and UH Lab school. Volunteer opportunities in the children and senior program. Also in teaching classes, community programs, youth development and administration.

The Kauai Red Cross provides disaster response to those affected by disasters in Kauai County and shares critical preparedness information to the community so that people can prepare before a disaster strikes. All disaster response and disaster training are provided at no charge. Training classes such as first aid, CPR and lifeguarding are available for a fee. Pacific Whale Foundation's mission is to protect our oceans through science and advocacy. Conducts scientific research of ocean, coral reefs and marine mammals. Applies research findings to preserve natural marine habitats and animals. Provides public education, encourages community participation through lectures, school visits, natural history cruises, snorkeling trips and whale watching cruises. Offers internships for interested researchers who apply. Manages Adopt-a-Whale and Adopt-a-Spinner Dolphin program allowing interested citizens to receive information on the movements and developments of a specific whale. Operates Pacific Whale Foundation's Eco-Adventure, a for-profit subsidiary.

Youth learn and practice Hawaiian and other arts, cultural traditions, protocols and values taught by kupuna and experienced while hiking, paddling canoe, celebrating their history and restoring the environment. Youth document their learning with digital and other media, including public art installations that honor and perpetuate our culture.

(CGC) Common Ground Collective's (CGC) Foster Farming project is now offering weekly harvesting services to Upcountry, North Shore, Central and South Maui. Landowners get to decide if they would like to donate their produce or sell their produce. Produce donations will have donation receipts provided and will go to support the mission of Common Ground Collective or will be donated to other community organizations to help support their missions and get healthy produce to food insecure individuals.

Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor provides a food pantry to those in need.

Offers galleries showcasing the cultural history of Hawaii (pre-contact to post-missionary eras) and the natural history of the islands. Displays a world class mineral collection and shell collection. Conducts guided tours of Mission House, built in 1839 by Rev. and Mrs. David B. Lyman.

Provides after school program for Kindergarten through sixth grade public elementary school students who are without adult supervision after school. Program includes homework, recreation supervision, special classes and activities.
