(DV Services for Families, DVSF) The Survivor and Children Support Services, (SCSS), focuses on supporting personal healing with families involved in both child welfare and domestic violence. SCSS provides an array of services to help families understand the difference between unhealthy and healthy family dynamics, strengthen parenting skills to include, learning how to better empathize with children's emotions, and become empowered by the use of community referrals. The SCSS Program's goal is to ensure and promote survivor safety and independence, and to strengthen child resilience.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. There are three program periods throughout the year: fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. Kokua Kalihi Valley (KKV) sees the aina (land) as a vital member of the community, and so we are pleased to offer opportunities for community gardening, reforestation, environmental education and the preservation of land-based cultural knowledge. The ROOTS program works to reconnect community members to one another, to their cultures, and to their shared land through the growing, preparing and sharing of food. (Kupuna Program, Na Pua O Ko'olau Kupuna Program, Na Pua O Ko'olau Senior Citizens Program) Na Pua o Koolau promotes socialization, culture, exercise, and access to healthy foods through a variety of events and activities. Registered participants partake in fellowship, education and recreation through regular meal services, virtual and in person creative and fitness classes, off sit excursions, presentations, and work days.

(Sex Abuse Treatment Services) Provides comprehensive services for families and individuals who have experienced sexual abuse within the family. Services are provided to child and adult victims, non-offending partners, alleged juvenile and adult offenders, and siblings. Treatment is provided through individual, dyad, family therapy and an extensive group program. The various components of the program are designed to reinforce each other for more comprehensive treatment. Provides group counseling, individual counseling, mother-daughter counseling, couples counseling, and family counseling services for victims of incest, their siblings, non-offending parents, and offenders.

(MRTP) The Maui Relief TANF Program is separate from the ongoing TANF cash assistance benefit and has a different application process, eligibility criteria and requirements. The Maui Relief TANF Program is a program that provides benefits to eligible families with dependent children who were directly impacted by the wildfires. The Program benefits are not intended to meet a family’s recurring needs and will not extend beyond four (4) months. Survivors are strongly encouraged to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance prior to applying for support through the Maui Relief TANF Program. DHS wants to ensure families maximize available disaster relief efforts. The Program benefits are considered “non-assistance”; therefore, is independent of the DHS’s TANF cash assistance program. The Program benefits are being established solely to address the specific crisis situation and episode of need for families who were directly affected by the wildfire disaster. The Program benefits will be issued as a disaster relief in the form of a lump-sum payment to the family or a direct payment to a vendor such as a landlord, automobile dealership, or a utility company. The Program will help families, with household incomes that do not exceed 350% of the federal poverty level: -secure and pay for short-and long-term housing -make a down payment and pay for a car payment for up to 4 months -secure and pay for utilities for up to 4 months -purchase clothing for eligible family members and school supplies for school-aged children. A family may apply for Maui Relief TANF support based on their current needs and apply later for other remaining support available to the family. This support may be provided in addition to FEMA Individual Assistance if a family has exhausted its FEMA assistance and critical needs still exists. There is no citizenship requirement. Non-federal funds may be available to assist families with dependent children who are not eligible for the federally-funded Program. Applicants will be provided ten (10) days from the date of the request to provide additional information and supporting documents. Applicants must report changes within 10 days of the change occurring. For example, if the support was for a car and the car was sold, then that change must be reported within 10 days.

(Mothers Milk) Hawaii Mothers' Milk, Inc. (HMMI) is a comprehensive breastfeeding resource center, for both families and health professionals in the State of Hawaii. HMMI provides services to new mothers statewide through our telephone warmline, individualized breastfeeding counseling, rentals and sales of hospital grade and/or home purchase breast pumps and supplies. Seeking volunteers to assist with clerical and other nonpatient duties. Donations accepted. This program offers lactation counseling and breastfeeding support, breast pump rentals, and breast pump sales.

(Project Vision Hawaii SNAP Outreach, SNAP Outreach, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program Outreach, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Outreach) The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. Project Vision’s SNAP outreach program helps with: -Application assistance - help completing SNAP applications -Benefit applications and renewals - help completing renewals for the SNAP program -Facilitating submission of the application to the DHS offices -Home visits to complete the application may be scheduled as necessary

Self-Help Housing Corporation of Hawaii (SHHCH) is developing the 87 lot Nanaikeola Self-Help Housing Subdivision in Nanakuli. SHHCH provides technical assistance to families with very low and low income to build their own houses through the team self-help housing method. Technical assistance includes financial counseling, loan packaging, homeownership education, and instructions on-the-job on how to build houses through the mutual self-help housing method. Under the team self-help housing approach families will build one and two story, three and four bedroom houses for $395,000, fee simple. No down payment required. Each family will contribute 32 hours/week of labor and help each other build the houses through a mass construction technique. SHHCH projects initiating the residential construction at the end of 2025.

Maintains professional organization of architects dedicated to employing with the highest industry standards and adhering strictly to a written code of ethics. Educates the general public by demonstrating what an architect does including site selection, feasibility studies, commercial work and finished product. Provides legal contract forms for contractors and engineers. Offers referrals to member architects.

(MEO) Assists individuals/families with farm work experience to obtain year round full-time employment. The program provides pre-employment training, work experience, on-the-job training, and support services.

Kokua in Kind handles vehicle donations (automobiles, trucks, vans, motorcycles and boats) for non-profit charities. We currently provide services to over 100 Hawaii non-profit organizations.
