The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) investigates and prosecutes provider fraud involving medical assistance programs, as well as patient abuse and neglect statewide. MFCU's jurisdiction over Medicaid Fraud consists largely of provider theft of Medicaid funds through deceptive claims made with the state Medicaid program. Some types of deceptive claims are: -claims for services not rendered -multiple claims for a single service or supply -billing at a higher rate than permitted for the service or supply provided MFCU's jurisdiction over abuse consists largely or pysical violence, neglect, and financial exploitation of dependent adults committed by Medicaid providers, care facilities, and paid caregivers. MFCU is authorized to proceed criminally and/or civilly. MFCU's jurisdiction over civil false Medicaid claims consists largely of unlawful provider activity that results in inappropriate claims from the Medicaid program.

Money Fit by DRS - HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Services: Money Fit by DRS offers comprehensive HUD-approved housing counseling and education services to Hawaii residents, assisting with renter concerns, homelessness prevention, homeowner financial management, and fair housing education. Our services include guidance on lease agreements, tenant rights, budgeting, mortgage options, foreclosure prevention, and fair housing laws.

Rainbow Mililani opened in 1987. We are located in the heart of Mililani Town on the grounds of the Christ Lutheran Church , although we are not affiliated with any religious denomination. Our program is licensed by the State of Hawaii. We offer services to 60 children ranging in age from 3 to 5 years old. Licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Human Service and nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). All staff meet State licensing requirements. We accept DHS – Child Care Connection, Open Door, First-to-Work, Kamehameha Schools’ Keiki Pauahi Scholars Program, and Federal subsidies. All tuition payments are done through the FACTS Tuition Management program. Your child’s Form 14, current TB clearance and DHS 908 Form are required upon acceptance into the school. Parents are also responsible for a non-refundable registration fee of $175 upon acceptance. If there are no availabilities, your child’s application will be placed on the center’s waitlist. (Ohana Connections Program) The core beliefs of the program are: all children entering foster care have the right to know and connect with their family, a right to learn about their family history, a right to maintain their family relationships, and a right to belong to a family, community, and place. Like all children, they deserve to feel stable, secure, and loved. The ‘Ohana Connections Program, working in conjunction with the ‘Ohana Finding Program, finds and engages the foster youth’s family members and other kinship family, and then helps nurture and support those renewed family connections. The time it takes for `Ohana Connections to be completed varies in length for each family, but all efforts work toward the goal of the program: to help families reweave their family cloth so every foster child has relationships that can last for a lifetime. Displays one of only two humpback whale skeletons in the world, the Falls of Clyde, (the only surviving four-masted full-rigged ship and float in the world, and a National Historic Landmark), and the Polynesian voyaging canoe Hokule'a. Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. (Seagulls School EEC) Early childhood education and preschool services. Children do not have to be toilet trained.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Kukui Center was designed and renovated to meet the need to provide an easily identified and specialized place where abused, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families can receive the help they need. Professional and volunteer help is available elsewhere throughout our community but in many different locations. Even when needed, the follow through on referrals can be poor as parents and young adults are often overwhelmed by the demands of their daily lives. Housing a variety of services together is more user friendly for children, youth and families and will help insure they can access the strong community support that is available.

Operates a volunteer, civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Provides emergency services, including air search and rescue, local disaster relief, and cooperation and assistance to civil defense agencies, aerospace education, cadet program, and a senior member training program.

Care Coordinators work directly with the patient to identify their areas of concern, develop a care plan to achieve their health goals, and provide education about different healthcare services (community resources, behavioral health, nutrition, pain specialists, legal and financial resources, educational assistance, etc.)

Collects and distributes child support funds in all new divorce and paternity cases, newly modified orders, as well as those cases handled in the past. Legally establishes the identity of the father of children born out of wedlock. Obtains court and administrative orders for child support which are enforceable against parents who have a duty to provide support. Locates parents who are not complying with existing child support orders and enforces payment through wage assignment, income tax refund intercept and other legal means.
