Food distribution for March 21, 2026 is canceled. Nothing will be rescheduled for the month of March 2026. New Hope Kapolei provides a food pantry on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Please bring a rolling cart or large shopping bag. Food is on a first come, first served basis and the pantry may run out of food before the closing time. Please call for an appointment for emergency food on Thursday 10:30 am - 12:30 pm the weeks the food pantry is not open on Saturday. Supplies are limited and appointments are required.

(CFS Gerontology Program - Ohana Care) Caregivers who provide the primary care to individuals who are disabled, frail, and/or isolated residents on Oahu, who are 60 years of age or older, on an as needed basis are eligible for case management, counseling, and training services. Training topics may include: ADL/ADL limitations, caregiver’s role, disease prevention and remediation, access to available resources, stages of disease and options/ referrals in legal or financial related matters, RCI-REACH, and Arthritis Foundation related training. Staff will also provide information and referral sources when needed. Designed to improve the quality of life for families, care receivers, and caregivers by offering a continuum of quality care that is flexible and individualized in order to prolong the care giving relationship. The program actively assists the care receiver and the caregiver in implementing an individualized, strengths based service plan on how to reduce stress and link with the appropriate community resources. The program also provides supportive counseling.

HomeAid's Kauhale Management Division provides secure, shared housing at Kipuola Kauahale, light case management, job readiness support, and opportunities for education and community engagement primarily for single individuals.  Additional support for mental health resources and counseling referrals, transportation assistance for work or school, and health and wellness programs for residents may be available. Residents have their own "sleeping pod" but share communal space (toilet, shower, kitchen, computer lab, public areas, etc.).  Residents are required to attend weekly or monthly community meetings, help with shared chores to maintain the common areas, follow site policies for safety, treat others with kindness and respect, and stay engaged with job training, education, or personal development activities.

The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. Advocates for the betterment of native Hawaiians. Assesses needs. Develops demonstration projects. Provides scholarships, small business loans, and business assistance. Advises on cultural protocol. Provides voter registration and education. Provides legal assistance and referral for human service programs. Assists with housing needs. Publishes monthly newspaper. Recommends speakers on Hawaiian issues and culture. Maintains a registry of persons of Hawaiian ancestry. Assesses needs of native Hawaiians and advocates on their behalf. Registers and tracks persons of Hawaiian ancestry to help OHA determine how best to distribute benefits from federal programs addressing health, education and economic development. This also qualifies Hawaiians for special group benefits to be organized by OHA, including group insurance and discounts on selected retail and service purchases.

Straub Urologists diagnose and treat disorders of the urinary tract in adults and children. The department provides medical and surgical treatment for incontinence, prostate problems, disorders of voiding, kidney stones, infertility, impotence and genitourinary malignancies. Diagnoses and treats sexual problems with focus on promoting healthy sexual functioning. Treatment may include interview, exam by physician, lab tests, medical or surgical treatment and sex therapy.

Offers weekly hot supper at Kealakehe Intermediate School for anyone who needs a hot meal. Run by volunteers preparing and serving donated food and food purchased with donated funds. Volunteers are welcomed. Meet N Eat will be open the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years 2025. Meet N' Eat is a project of the Kona Task Force on Feeding the Hungry.

Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) provides supportive services to meet the immediate and urgent needs of visitors to Hawaii Island who are victimized by crime, have medical emergencies, or suffer other adversities during their stay. (KHS) Purchase a day pass or annual membership to enjoy the Kauai Humane Society dog park – one for dogs smaller than 30 pounds and one for larger dogs. Park includes: water bowls, baby pools, water hoses, plenty of open space, trash receptacles, shaded gazebos and picnic tables. The day pass is only vaild for the day purchased on.

(Maui Employment Services, ESLPR, ESLIP) Goodwill Industries of Hawaii provides employment services for people with barriers to employment, persons with low-income, and immigrants. Services include assessment, job readiness training, job placement and retention, vocational training referral and assistance.

Provides water to consumers on Lanai.

Operates a thrift store selling low cost clothing, furniture, household goods, toys and more. Proceeds benefit vocational training and job placement programs for people with barriers to employment.

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.

Early childhood education and preschool services. Children do not have to be toilet trained.

Food boxes available two Fridays a month. Families not signed up yet can come after 11:30 am until 1:30 pm to complete sign ups.

Youth small boat day sailing. Youth from 8 years - 20 years old participant in day time sailing activities on boats that range from 8 ft to 30 ft. Activities divided into programs for 8 -12 years and 12 years and older. Programs include basic sailing, intermediate sailing and racing. Sailing is an Olympic sport that can be done as an individual or team. Our programs provide children/teens opportunity to develop independent as well as co-operative thinking, healthy outdoor activities and beneficial adult mentoring. Big Island Sailing Foundation facilitates sailing "day camps" primarliy on the Kona coast. Summer camps are in June - July; Winter break camp at the end of December and Spring camps each year.
