Liquor Control - County of Hawaii

Regulates the manufacture, importation, sale and consumption of intoxicating liquors. Oversees liquor license applications. Hears and determines all complaints regarding violations of the liquor control laws of the state, or complaints regarding violations of rules and regulations established by the Liquor Commission. Imposes fines or punishment as may be provided by law. Adopts rules and regulations which have the effect of laws in the county. Enforces the provisions of the liquor laws. Grants, renews or refuses applications for liquor licenses. After an establishment has a liquor license, Commission investigators make periodic checks at the establishment. Judiciary of the Second Circuit Court

Jury trials are held in the Circuit Courts, which have general jurisdiction in civil and criminal cases. They also have exclusive jurisdiction in probate, guardianship and criminal felony cases, as well as civil cases where the contested amount exceeds $40,000. Circuit Courts share concurrent jurisdiction with District Courts in civil non-jury cases in which the amounts in controversy are between $10,000 and $40,000. Other cases heard by the Circuit Courts include mechanics' liens and misdemeanor violations transferred from the District Courts for jury trials.

Youth Independent Living Services - Kauai

We provide a membership based community tool lending program for a monthly fee, which provides access to tools that might be unaffordable otherwise. You can borrow as many tools as you need to help you get the job done. You can borrow a tool for one week, and can renew tools for a second week if no one else reserves them. We also provide blades and bits, basic used consumables are free to borrow. New and specialty items are available for a small fee.

Pearl Harbor - Parent Participation Preschool

Parent Participation Preschool is a three-phased program for parents to assist in their child's transition from home to school. The children progress through the program based on their development and mastered skills, not age. -Pueo (Phase 1): Children are introduced to a more structured learning environment. It focuses on colors, shapes and letter recognition. The class meets twice a week for 2 hours. It requires parents' 100% participation. -Honu (Phase 2): Children entering Honu have some basic, fundamental preschool abilities and are inspired to work independently, explore academics, use their creativity, and learn the importance of a daily routine. Honu focuses on phonics, basic math skills and writing. The class meets three times a week for 3 hours.
