(Community-Based Mentoring Program) Case Managers at Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii work with parents, guardians, therapists, counselors, schools, and youth serving organizations to identify and pair under-resourced youth from ages 6 years old and older with one-on-one mentors. Case Managers create an outcome development plan in collaboration with the parent/guardian, child and volunteer. Plans are updated yearly. Youth and their mentors meet 2-3 times per month for a few hours each outing. Outings are selected by the youth. Mentors pick-up their mentees and are responsible for transportation and other costs they incur. Some of the costs are offset by sponsored activities and discounts at partnering companies.

Maintains research library which contains 19th and early 20th century materials on Hawaii and the Pacific. Provides information and reference services regarding Hawaiian history and Hawaii's historical agencies. Publishes the Hawaiian Journal of History, newsletters, limited edition books.

Established in 1839 under the Kingdom of Hawaii, the Maui District Health Office is an extension of the State of Hawaii Department of Health for the County of Maui. The county includes the islands of Kaho`olawe, Lana`i, Maui and Moloka`i. The Maui District Health Office services its island community by providing resources and expertise in areas such as vital records (birth, death, marriage and divorce), Family Health, Public Health Nursing, Environmental Health, Family Guidance (mental health), Tuberculosis, HIV and STD and Emergency Preparedness.

Maui Academy of Performing Arts provides educational performing arts programs for all ages including academy classes, theatrical productions, Theatre for Young Audiences tours, and classroom residencies integrating drama and literacy skills.

Westside Christian Center Assembly of God provides food once a month and also emergency food.

Administers statewide system of commercial harbors consisting of seven deep draft and two medium draft harbors. The seven deep draft ports serving the State are Honolulu and Barbers Point on the island of Oahu, Port Allen and Nawiliwili on the island of Kauai, Kahului on the island of Maui, and Hilo and Kawaihae on the island of Hawaii. The medium draft facilities are Kewalo Basin on Oahu and Kaunakakai on Molokai. Also responds to harbor complaints.

Hawaii Public Radio (HPR) exists to serve the people of Hawaii by informing people about essential news, inspiring people through the power of music and the arts, and connecting people through conversations and convenings.

(Queens Referral Line, Queen Emma Clinics, Queen Emma Pediatric Clinic, Queen Emma Womens Health Center, Queens Cancer Center) Provides referrals to private physicians (may select specialty, insurance accepted, languages spoken, and more). Provides information about Queen's Medical Center programs and registers people in health education classes and CPR certification courses.

(Kupuna Program, Na Pua O Ko'olau Kupuna Program, Na Pua O Ko'olau Senior Citizens Program) Na Pua o Koolau promotes socialization, culture, exercise, and access to healthy foods through a variety of events and activities. Registered participants partake in fellowship, education and recreation through regular meal services, virtual and in person creative and fitness classes, off sit excursions, presentations, and work days.

Provides education and information about substance abuse, evaluation of substance abuse problems and referral to appropriate help. Operates a lawyer Alcoholics Anonymous support group with lawyer sponsors. Provides intervention services for attorneys or judges who are impaired either by substance abuse or have other problems such as mental illness. Confidential service with no records going to authorities of any kind, even within the legal community.

Prosecutes those who violate criminal and traffic laws of the State of Hawaii and the County of Maui. Prosecutes felonies through the Circuit Court Division. Prosecutes misdemeanors, petty misdemeanors, traffic violations, Department of Land and Natural Resource violations and County code violations through the District Court Division. Screens and prosecutes adults and juveniles under Family Court jurisdiction through the Family Court Prosecution Division. Gathers and presents evidence through the Felony Screening Division to obtain an indictment and charge a suspect. Interviews witnesses, gathers trial evidence through the Investigative Services Division for criminal cases pending trial.

We welcome bereaved children and teens (3 years old - 18 years old) for free peer support groups (not therapy). Keiki and teens who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, ohana member, or close friend are eligible. Grief support services provided include peer-to-peer support groups in the schools and the community, children's bereavement awareness education, group facilitation training, and care package program. Disability and Communication Access Board reviews and assesses the problems, needs, services and resources in the State of Hawaii including, but not limited to, employment, education, social services, civil rights, public facilities, housing, vocational training, rehabilitation and recreation. The board publishes educational materials, sponsors workshops and provides technical assistance to industries/agencies, conducts research studies, advises State and County agencies on issues related to persons with disabilities, and conducts testing of sign language interpreters and issues state credential based on test results. The board administers the statewide program for parking for persons with disabilities. They serve as the designated state agency to coordinate state ADA compliance for access to services, employment, telecommunications, and facility and site design, establishes state guidelines for communication access services for persons with disabilities, establishes state guidelines for parking for persons with disabilities, and maintains a statewide database for parking placard. (PPP) Parent Participation Programs (PPP) meets twice a week at different communities around Oahu. The goal of PPP is to support parents as their child’s first teacher. Hawaiian values such as Aloha (love), Malama (Care), Kuleana (Responsibility) and Laulima (Many Hands) are some of the daily values practiced in class. Learning centers are set up to support hands-on learning and encourage parent/child interactions. Our hope is keiki will: Develop the skills, knowledge and experiences for life and learning; Develop a strong sense of self, ‘ohana and where they come from; Recognize and practice Hawaiian language and culture. This program helps makua: Recognize how to become advocates for their keiki; Engage in safe, healthy practices for keiki well-being; Recognize and practice Hawaiian language and culture. Youth identified as requiring intensive mental health services may be enrolled with the Department of Health (DOH) Family Guidance Center (FGC) located in the school district of their home school. They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. The youth may, and often will, continue to receive School-Based Behavioral Health (SBBH) services and supports from the Department of Education (DOE) in conjunction with the intensive mental health services.
