Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration. Also accepts birds that the public drops off for West Nile testing.

Operation School Bell provides new school clothing to children in schools identified as Title 1 by the Hawaii State Department of Education and school personnel. In schools with school uniforms, a school shirt is paid for by the Assistance League of Hawaii.

(Domestic Violence Advocacy) Families who are enrolled in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Temporary Assistance to Other Needy Families (more commonly known as “welfare”), are required to be engaged in activities that will ultimately lead them to self-sufficiency. Program recipients for whom issues of safety and domestic violence are interfering with their progress can call upon Domestic Violence Advocacy to help them find support to change their situations. Services include: assessment, service planning, counseling services, case management and linkage and referral. Provides client advocacy for women referred by Department of Human Services (DHS) in need of case management and support to leave domestic violent relationships. Six month time period given to provide victims the opportunity to gain focus and perspective of their personal goals and career choice.

Operates a public (fixed route) bus service and a paratransit (door-to-door) bus service on Kauai. All vehicles are lift-equipped to accommodate persons with mobility aids. Paratransit Service is available for qualified individuals.

(Medical Examiner/Coroners Department) Conducts investigations, inquests, post-mortem examinations and laboratory tests to determine the cause and mode of death for natural deaths unattended by a physician, and on all unnatural deaths (homicides, suicides, accidents or deaths of a suspicious nature). Compiles statistics on death rates, causes of death, etc.

Supportive group housing on a less intense level, with consumer support available 8-16 hours a day on-site and on-call.

Quality Care for Hawaiian Keiki (QCHK) is a child care subsidy program for Native Hawaiian in Maui County. QCHK goals are to help Native Hawaiian/Part Hawaiian families become more economically self sufficient as well as helping their children to become school ready. Program provides assistance to families to pay for child care, for children ages 0-13 and up to 19 years old for children with special needs. (Hawaii Relief Program) Catholic Charities Hawaii has been contracted to administer the Hawaii Relief Program. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). -One-time automobile down payment -Up to 4 months of automobile payments Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources.
