(MDA Summer Camp) Each summer, kids and young adults with neuromuscular disease attend overnight camps around the United States at no cost to their families. Note: Currently there are no in-person camps in Hawaii. Please see the web site for virtual camp options. Campers may also apply to attend a camp in another location of the nation.

Navigators help families and those in underserved communities gain access to health coverage options by helping them complete their Marketplace applications, access financial assistance through HealthCare.gov, and enroll in coverage through the Marketplace, Medicaid, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Parents And Children Together (PACT) offers safe, compassionate, and confidential support in three counties for youth and families coping with serious behavioral, social, and emotional challenges. Our evidence-based therapeutic models focus on family networks and relationships, school or job performance, peer connections and relationships, and community networks of support. All services are provided free of charge with referrals. Evenings and weekends by appointment.

During the 32 week program, you will learn how to: -Take patient histories -Measure vital signs -Assist with medical procedures -Administer medications under the guidance of a physician -Manage medical records -Schedule appointments -Handle insurance claims -Maintain office correspondence

(Homeless Careavan Program) Provides outreach for homeless individuals. Currently uses van, Care-A-Van outreach specialist to travel to beaches/parks and other areas on Kauai where homeless people live or congregate. Unsheltered Homeless Protocol for Members of the Public. If you wish to assist a person who is homeless, who might be setting up "residence" in a public area or needing a health and safety intervention, the following actions should be taken: -Note the exact location and time when the person who is homeless is known to frequent the area. -Note any identifying information for the person who is homeless, e.g., physical description and number in the group. -Provide the above information to Kauai Economic Opportunity via email at [email protected] or call (808) 245.4077, x228. Email is the preferred means of communication. Also provide the name and email/phone number of the person providing the information for follow up if the person who is homeless cannot be found.

Assists Chinese speaking immigrants to discover and obtain community resources and services. Provides assistance in completing application forms for food stamps, Quest Medical Housing, HeadStart/Open Doors and others. Services include notary public and general referral.

(Steadfast Pacific) Acquires, develops, owns, and manages permanent supported housing suitable for occupancy by persons in Hawaii with chronic mental illness, also known as SMI (Seriously Mentally Ill). Operates 29 group homes (including duplex units) and 6 condominium units. All clients are being provided with mental health supportive services at the Community Mental Health Centers.

Operates a thrift shop, but must have access to the base. Provides individual counseling. Provides assistance with obtaining services from civilian agencies.

(SSO) Department of Education Seamless Summer Option (SSO) Program provides meals free of charge at participating public schools for children 1 year old - 18 years old June 9, 2026 - July 17, 2026. Children do not need to be enrolled in public school to participate. Schools will serve breakfast 7:15 am - 8:45 am and lunches from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. There will be no meal service on the June 11, 2026 (Kamehameha Day) and July 3, 2026 (Independence Day observed) state holidays. All meals must be eaten on campus; no grab-and-go options are available. Children do not have to be enrolled at a participating school to be served, and meals will consist of solid foods. The ASYMCA of Honolulu,Wheeler Army AirField/Schofield Barracks , provides military families with activities that will help strengthen and encourage those who use the services. At this branch we offer Parent Participation Preschool, Kids in the Kitchen, a Food Pantry, and other activities geared to the young military family. Provides drop-in child care for military families when they have medical/doctor appointments, services are offered at Tripler and Schofield facilities.

Na Kia i O Maui provides household goods, furniture, daily essentials, and nonperishable food to fire survivors of Lahaina and Upcountry Maui and March 2026 Kona Low flood survivors. Volunteers needed to make the muck and cleaning kits.

Our goal is to help you learn what you need to know quickly and support your next steps.

Provides a safe and stimulating environment for the frail, elderly, and disabled adult. Provides social and related support services in a protective home setting during any part of the work day. The home environment will provide a pleasant, comfortable and safe surrounding for the elderly on a more personalized level outside of any institutional setting. Assists participants to remain in the community and promote the individuals maximum level of independence through social and psychological stimulation to mainstream and prevent further deterioration.
