Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Uvalde Foundation For Kids's Community Crisis Response Team provides emergency food, clothing and temporary housing assistance for at risk/homeless youth and families.

(Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters offers home based early childhood education for two, three, four and five year old children working with their parent(s) as their first teacher. The parent is provided with a set of carefully developed materials, curriculum and books designed to strengthen their child’s cognitive skills, early literacy skills, social/emotional and physical development. HIPPY is a parent involvement and school readiness program. HIPPY covers the following 5 domains: Literacy; Language; Science ; Motor (gross and fine) ; Math . The curriculum is scripted to help parents deliver the lessons to their children with confidence. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk.
