The Friends' mission is to generate community support for cancer research and education to prevent and reduce cancer-related deaths as well as improve the quality of life of those diagnosed with cancer. The Friends organization was established to support the Cancer Center in their quest to prevent and find cures for cancer in Hawaii. This includes the Center’s education and outreach programs for those battling cancer, and family and friends who care or are caregivers. (The Boo Boo Zoo) Provides treatment, care and rehabilitation of injured, sick, and orphaned animals. Rescues and cares for animals in distress. Average on site numbers 400 animals including dogs, cats, goats, sheep, cow, horses, deer, fowl, birds. Even if we aren't facilitated to intake an animal still call. We can help, advise or direct you to a source. Staff are all volunteers, donations are sole support.

(Child Care Connection Hawaii, Arbor, CCCH) Child Care Subsidy (CCS) program helps low-income families to sustain their employment, educational efforts and job training by paying a subsidy for their children who are in the care of Department of Human Services (DHS)-approved child care providers. Unless child care is required for protective purposes, families must meet income and activity requirements to qualify for this subsidy program.
