(Hawaii County Third Circuit Hale Kaulike Self Help Center) The Hilo Court Self-Help Center will provide legal help to the East Hawaii community on a pilot basis. Volunteer attorneys from the Hawaii County Bar Association will provide limited legal information by telephone in areas such as landlord-tenant, family, and other district court matters.

The Kauai Red Cross provides disaster response to those affected by disasters in Kauai County and shares critical preparedness information to the community so that people can prepare before a disaster strikes. All disaster response and disaster training are provided at no charge. Training classes such as first aid, CPR and lifeguarding are available for a fee. Pacific Health Ministry provides spiritual and emotional support programs for the patients, families, and staff for Hawaii hospitals, hospice programs, psychiatric hospitals, retirement centers, and long term care facilities. These services provide spiritual care to persons in trauma or crisis, as well as those dying or grieving the loss of a family member. Pacific Health Ministry also provides education for clergy, health care professionals, and others who assist persons who are dying, grieving, and in crisis. It is a program that leads to certification for ministers and religious professionals. Pacific Health Ministry is the only accredited ministry training institution in Hawaii.

(IOP, Safe Haven Intensive Outpatient Program - Oahu) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) service persons with mental health illness and drug/alcohol problems. Services are voluntary and conducted in groups.

(Hawaii Relief Program) Catholic Charities Hawaii has been contracted to administer the Hawaii Relief Program. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. Water expense may include sewer service fees. Payments are made directly to landlords, mortgage lenders, or utility providers. Salvation Army Hanapepe Corps provides emergency food and clothing, and emotional and spiritual care to victims of disaster. The Salvation Army Hanapepe Corps is not currently taking donated items for victims at this time.

Assists in the location and recovery of missing children. Connected to 49 mainland state clearinghouses as well as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Traces children and their abductors through connection with these databases and other public records as well as coordination with the efforts of the FBI and police departments of all states. Child Protective Services, Interpol, the U.S. Department of State and countries who are signatories to the Hague Convention. The police should always be notified first in the event that a parent suspects a child has been abducted. Honolulu Habitat for Humanity helps families build, purchase or repair their own homes. Families work alongside volunteers. The programs are financed through Honolulu Habitat's low to no interest mortgage program. Builds and renovates homes using volunteer labor and donated materials, at no profit and no interest. Homeowners repay the cost over a fixed time period; payments are recycled to build more homes. It requires homeowners to participate in construction as well as help other prospective homeowners build theirs. Volunteers assist with all phases of construction, social work, public relations, finance, and office support.
