The UH Center at West Hawaii coordinates access to courses and programs from University of Hawaii system.

The Employment Readiness Program offers information and referral services as well as assistance in the areas of employment, and training. Services include hiring events, career counseling and goal setting, employment and education information, classes on resume writing (federal and private sector), interviewing, building a LinkedIn profile, and conducting a job search.

KHP is a non-profit substance misuse treatment and recovery support Center with a focus on Native Hawaiian cultural values. Provides Outpatient treatment and support services for Molokai residents in early recovery from alcohol and other drug addictions. Also provides 12-step meetings and faith-based recovery support meetings. Provides urine analysis (UA) Testing for youth up to age 18 and adults. Able to provide alcohol and other drugs (AOD) assessments for driving under the influence (DUI) or treatment appropriateness for a fee. KHP has programs for Pregnant and/or parenting Women with children who want to engage in outpatient treatment. Also, persons with a co-occurring mental health diagnosis and a substance use disorder can join dual diagnosis treatment groups. KHP has an emergency food pantry open on Tue and Thurs after 12:30pm. Enforces laws relating to firearms, ammunition and dangerous weapons. Controls and manages beaches with public access. Participates with search and rescue efforts locally.

Responsible for fire protection, rescue, HazMat, emergency medical response and ocean rescue services. Provides fire prevention education. Dispatches fire fighters and rescue squad personnel for emergencies. Issues firework permits. Blood pressure screening is offered at all Kauai Fire Stations except at the Kauai Fire Department administration office.

Provides after school program for Kindergarten through sixth grade students in public elementary schools, who are without adult supervision after school. Program includes homework, recreation supervision, special classes and activities.

(Kauai Firth Circuit Court Self Help Center) The Kauai Court Self-Help Center will provide legal help to the Garden Island community on a pilot basis. Volunteer attorneys from the Kauai County Bar Association will provide limited legal information by telephone in areas such as landlord-tenant, family, and other district court matters.

Our monthly therapeutic events serve as 'mini-retreats' by engaging families in a variety of healing activities and nurturing ongoing relationships with others on the grief journey. It offers an opportunity to revive health in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self while developing meaningful relationships with families who have suffered a similar loss.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Provides forms to order a birth certificate, divorce, and marriage certificate. Also provides information to get married.

Family Hui Hawaii coordinates and provides peer-led parenting support groups for families with young children, age prenatal-5 years old. Families are matched with a group leader in their community based on their child's age and neighborhood. Once a group is formed, families take part in 12 weekly parenting and child development discussions. Group members are able to connect and share their experiences with other families and often develop life-long friendships. Each family receives our Embracing 'Ohana Notebook as a permanent resource. Family Hui offers child development screenings, provides referrals to other agencies, weekly parenting tips on Facebook and current community resources, and invites families to special events and workshops. It may be a public park or a group member's home. Hui groups may meet virtually and/or physically.
