Picks up small dead animals in metro Honolulu area (Foster Village to Hawaii Kai) such as dogs and cats, from City roads or if brought out into an open area.

The Respite Care services qualified Navy families. PATCH links eligible families with trained respite providers to provide in-home respite for families of children with special needs.

Administers statewide system of commercial harbors consisting of seven deep draft and two medium draft harbors. The seven deep draft ports serving the State are Honolulu and Barbers Point on the island of Oahu, Port Allen and Nawiliwili on the island of Kauai, Kahului on the island of Maui, and Hilo and Kawaihae on the island of Hawaii. Operation Search is the Department's campaign to find children who may need special education services but who are not receiving them at this time. Informs families of the learning potential of children with disabilities. Instructs families on how to obtain services from agencies. Informs parents about the early warning signs of disabilities.
