(Hawaii Relief Program) Catholic Charities Hawaii has been contracted to administer the Hawaii Relief Program. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). -One-time automobile down payment -Up to 4 months of automobile payments Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. (Ho'omau Ke Ola - HKO) Hoomau Ke Ola operates a culture-based substance abuse treatment center providing outpatient, and aftercare levels of care along with transitional housing, case management services, individual and group counseling, family education, and vocational education. Using cross-cultural perspectives to the healing of addiction, Hoomau Ke Ola clients participate in outdoor activities that include restoration of Hawaiian agricultural land, and service to the community.

(KGAR) A 1.2 mile (untimed) fun run for youth ages 12 and under at Ala Moana Beach Park. Annually, the event raises over $20,000 dollars to support participating public and private elementary schools’ PE, health education and physical activity programs. For as school to participate and qualify for a donation, a minimum of 10 participants per school must register to be eligible for a donation. The last Keiki Great Aloha Run was on Saturday, March 26, 2022 as a 1.5 mile virtual race. Participants

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. (TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households.
