Jury trials are held in the Circuit Courts, which have general jurisdiction in civil and criminal cases. They also have exclusive jurisdiction in probate, guardianship and criminal felony cases, as well as civil cases where the contested amount exceeds $40,000. Check back for updates on additional locations as they become available. It’s critical that people understand they cannot walk in or call the local store for appointments, and must book their appointment online. We wouldn’t want to create frustration or confusion for people if they try to schedule appointments through the local store. For those without internet access they can use our call center, but we are still working to get confirm that live agents can be made available on the right operating hours to support Hawaii. Call center agents use the same digital scheduler, so it is not faster to necessarily call in, it’s truly a solution for those who cannot access our digital tools.
