(Hawaii Childrens Discovery Center) Offers a "world-class" educational facility which provides families with a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow together. The center is filled with "state-of-the-art" hands-on, interactive exhibits which encourage visitors to learn through play. The exhibits are designed to stimulate children's curiosity and to promote the concept of "life-long learning". Four major galleries full of exhibits provide a stimulating and educational experience for the young and "young at heart" to experience and enjoy. Volunteers are welcomed and training is provided. Accepts volunteers who are at least 17 years of age and able to stand and move throughout the exhibit galleries.

We are an educational membership program providing noncredit, college-level offerings designed to serve older adults’ continuing social, developmental and intellectual needs. A $60 Term Membership in OLLI entitles an individual to enroll in up to three courses or workshops and attend free special events on a space-available basis during that term. We have three semesters a year, Fall, Spring and Summer. No requirements for membership other than a desire to learn.

The Drivers Program provides a comprehensive evaluation to assess the ability to continue driving or return to driving. The evaluation process is meant to maintain safety for our clients and the community. For those who have sustained a new injury, illness or diagnosis, the Drivers Program assesses abilities to reintegrate into the community by maintaining or regaining driving independence. Additional components of the program include a behind-the-wheel assessment, adaptive equipment consultation and optional additional training sessions. We determine the readiness to drive with an on-site clinical evaluation that includes a comprehensive interview, as well as cognitive, vision and physical assessments with Driver Rehabilitation Specialists. A Behind-the-Wheel assessment is to be completed at the recommendation of the Driver Rehabilitation Specialist.

HHHRC offers ongoing, free, non-judgmental wound care services in our office and in a street-based setting. The clinic provides basic wound care that can be managed in a community setting, which inludes, but is not limited to: -Simple i&Ds that were preformed at the bedside and/or were discharged from the ED -Typical level 4 or 5 patients (based on triage acuity) -Patients appropriate for outpatient setting needing follow-up -Patients with chronic wounds without evidence of acute infection and not requiring IV antibiotics -Dermis layer or subcutaneous layer wounds that do not require debridement -Cellulitis patients without SIRS and reliable to follow-up -Dressing changes with discharge orders

(H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention - Central, LIHEAP ECI, ECI) Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) Energy Crisis Intervention (ECI) is designed to help families keep their utilities (gas or electric) on, especially those households that are most vulnerable, such as the elderly, the disabled, and households with young children. H-HEAP primarily assists households by applying an energy assistance grant directly to the energy provider on behalf of the eligible household. Applications are accepted year-round. This includes document replacement, legal representation for complex cases, and advocacy against policies that threaten immigrant rights. We also host Know Your Rights trainings, aimed at empowering our community through education of their constitutional rights, regardless of immigration status.

Common Grace facilitates partnerships between public elementary schools and nearby neighborhood churches in order to provide mentors for at-risk children. Volunteers goes through our basic training seminar that we have through out the school year. We look for mentors that have willing and loving hearts ready to be a friend to the kids at the local elementary school.

The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. (Alcohol and Drug-Impaired Driving Prevention) The Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving includes: Supporting law enforcement’s efforts to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from driving while impaired, Working for effective ignition interlock (in-car breathalyzer) laws in states to keep known risky drivers off our roads, Working with a national team toward technology on all new cars to prevent drivers with illegal blood alcohol from operating the vehicle. We also: Educate teens and parents about alcohol and the problems associated with underage drinking, Conduct public awareness programs like Tie One On for Safety which asks drivers to tie a MADD red ribbon onto their vehicles to pledge to be a safe and non-drinking driver over the holidays, Gather once a year to raise funds at our Walk Like MADD event that remembers, inspires and commits with our community of victims, survivors, partners and supporters.

Transitional Apartment Program (TAP) provides housing for victims who need safety and support and are ready to go to school/work. Program participants learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plan, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they’re not responsible for domestic violence. Length of stay varies depending on individual needs and up to 24 months at the Transitional Apartments.
