Ridesharing programs offer the least expensive way to reduce rush hour traffic congestion by moving more people in fewer cars. To encourage ridesharing, HDOT provides High Occupancy Vehicles Lanes (HOV) and Zipper Lanes which are reserved for the exclusive use of buses, carpools, and motorcycles.

IGI (International Genealogical Index): A worldwide list of names and selected vital data of more than 150 million people. 3. Ancestral File: Is pedigree linked and can be grouped in families. 4. Social Security Death Index: Lists about 38 million deceased persons who had Social Security numbers, and whose deaths were reported to that administration. 5. US Military Index: Index of individuals in the United States military who died, or were declared dead, in Korea or Vietnam (1950-1975).

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, tennis courts and outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring, and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music and dance, seasonal activities and crafts, excursions and swimming. Hoa Aina O Makaha provides U-Pick events where guests are welcome to harvest from designated fields, assist farmers with planting, wash and weigh what you harvest, learn health benefits/recipes of whatever is in their baskets, and take starters home for their gardens. Provides confidential individual, group, family treatment programs for substance abuse. Conducts programs over 12 - 15 weeks. Focuses on education, skill building, therapy, psycho-education. Serves court-referred youth and students at participating schools. Residential services including intensive therapy of chemically dependent youth referred by families, courts, CAMHD, others.

Provides comprehensive social work services to seriously mentally ill adults including assessment, assistance in development of individualized service plan. Provides advocacy, and supportive counseling. Offers linkage and referral to additional services such as treatment, housing, psychosocial rehabilitation and entitlement acquisition (welfare, SSI benefits, etc.). Assists in independent living skill building, and provides psycho-education.

Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (HSCADV) is a coalition of organizations that serve survivors of domestic violence and their families. We provide education and training on domestic violence to service providers, community partners, and businesses, and develop resource for advocates and the community. We engage in public policy to improve survivor safety. We do not provide domestic violence services directly, but make referrals to appropriate agencies.

(Childrens Specialty Care) Provides specialized pediatric services for children and young adults from birth to 21 years of age. PIDF has partnered with Family Programs Hawaii (FPH), and a consortium of other community providers to form Hui Ho'omalu (A Group to Protect and Shelter), all working together to advance Hawaii’s foster care system. Recruits and certifies adoptive parent(s) for children needing an adoptive family. Recruits adoptive families for children who are a ward of the state. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. (Hawaii Childrens Discovery Center) Offers a "world-class" educational facility which provides families with a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow together. The center is filled with "state-of-the-art" hands-on, interactive exhibits which encourage visitors to learn through play. The exhibits are designed to stimulate children's curiosity and to promote the concept of "life-long learning". Four major galleries full of exhibits provide a stimulating and educational experience for the young and "young at heart" to experience and enjoy. Volunteers are welcomed and training is provided. Accepts volunteers who are at least 17 years of age and able to stand and move throughout the exhibit galleries.
