(H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention-Windward, LIHEAP ECI, ECI) Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) Energy Crisis Intervention (ECI) is designed to help families keep their utilities (gas or electric) on, especially those households that are most vulnerable, such as the elderly, the disabled, and households with young children. H-HEAP primarily assists households by applying an energy assistance grant directly to the energy provider on behalf of the eligible household. Applications are accepted year-round. (Sexual Abuse Treatment Services) Provides comprehensive services for families and individuals who have experienced sexual abuse within the family. Services are provided to child and adult victims, non-offending partners, alleged juvenile and adult offenders, and siblings. Treatment is provided through individual, dyad, family therapy and an extensive group program. The various components of the program are designed to reinforce each other for more comprehensive treatment. Provides group counseling, individual counseling, mother-daughter counseling, couples counseling, and family counseling services for victims of incest, their siblings, non-offending parents, and offenders.

Collects and distributes child support funds in all new divorce and paternity cases, newly modified orders, as well as those cases handled in the past. Legally establishes the identity of the father of children born out of wedlock. Obtains court and administrative orders for child support which are enforceable against parents who have a duty to provide support. Locates parents who are not complying with existing child support orders and enforces payment through wage assignment, income tax refund intercept and other legal means. (Hui Malama Ola Na Oiwi) We provide disease prevention and health promotion services through advocacy, accessibility, and education. We offer Case Management Services (such as home visits to conduct blood pressure checks, glucose checks, assistance with applications for medical insurance), and referrals to other health-related agencies. We also provide Health Education (Diabetes, Hypertension, Nutrition, and Tobacco Cessation), Traditional Healing Workshops and Classes, as well as one-to-one services by referral. Specialty Transportation provided to medical-related appointments (based on needs and availability)- for individuals restricted to a wheelchair or gurney.

(Monkeypox, Disease Outbreak Control Division - Monkeypox) Mpox (Monkeypox) is a contagious disease caused by the mpox virus. There is currently an outbreak of mpox in the U.S. and other countries where the virus is not usually seen. The current mpox situation is evolving quickly and is subject to change. Mpox (Monkeypox) risk in Hawaii: Department of Health (DOH) is closely monitoring mpox transmission in the United States and Hawaii. Based on the current information available, the risk to most Hawaiʻi residents remains low. Anyone who had direct skin to skin or prolonged close contact with someone with mpox is at risk of infection— regardless of who they are, what they do, or if they are sexually active. Infection begins with flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle aches, chills, exhaustion, and swollen lymph nodes. Infection progresses to a rash or sores, often on the hands, feet, chest, face, or genitals. Individuals generally become ill within 21 days of exposure. People may have all of the symptoms or only a few. A person with mpox is infectious when symptoms start to when the rash has fully healed and a new layer of skin has formed. Mpox typically lasts 2-4 weeks. People who do not have mpox symptoms cannot spread the virus to others. Many of the same measures that have protected us in the last two years with the COVID-19 pandemic also prevent spread of other diseases, including mpox. This includes staying home if you’re sick, washing your hands, and limiting close personal contact with people who have symptoms of mpox. (Food Pantry) Provides prepacked, large grocery bags with assorted canned and packaged food which is distributed to people in need. Food distribution will take place at our main sanctuary doors on Beretania Street. Paid parking is available in our lot off of Victoria Street or on-street parking.

Operation Hero is an onsite after-school program, which focuses on character development and skill building within military children who have been identified by school personnel and parents exhibiting low self esteem, or difficulty adjusting both academically and socially in the school environment. Curriculum is designed to help children handle the challenges of military life, provide tools to help them succeed in school, and help develop a positive self-image while improving social and communication skills.
