(Friends of the Childrens Justice Center - Maui) Provides a safe, neutral place for child abuse investigations by trained Police Detectives and Department of Human Services Social Workers who are specialists in child abuse. Provides training for professionals in conducting effective multidisciplinary investigations that are child-focused. Tracks all reports of child sex abuse. Facilitates coordination of civil and criminal multidisciplinary meetings.

Operates landfill and solid waste transfer stations throughout the island. Encourages recycling through private recyclers.

CancerCare provides limited financial assistance to people affected by cancer. As a nonprofit organization, funding depends on the sources of support we receive at any given time. If we do not currently have funding to assist you, our professional oncology social workers will always work to refer you to other financial assistance resources. Offers family planning services, pregnancy testing, prenatal and high risk prenatal care, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, dietary counseling, urgent care, teen clinic, Endocrine clinic and various clinic procedures.

Enforces laws, rules and regulations relating to the conservation and preservation of land and natural resources. Verifies leases, permits and licenses issued by the DLNR. Enforces laws relating to firearms, ammunition and dangerous weapons. Monitors activities on public beaches for compliance with state laws. Participates with search and rescue efforts locally.

Issues permits for hiking, hunting and taking of plants from reserve areas. Sells seedlings for Christmas trees, reforestation and wind breaks. Manages public hunting areas, public hiking areas, forest reserves, wildlife sanctuaries, natural areas reserves. Accepts reports of forest pests, including new and unusual weeds and certain birds. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. (Hawaii Relief Program) Catholic Charities Hawaii has been contracted to administer the Hawaii Relief Program. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). -One-time automobile down payment -Up to 4 months of automobile payments Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. Water expense may include sewer service fees. Payments are made directly to landlords, mortgage lenders, or utility providers. (CGC) Common Ground Collective's (CGC) Foster Farming project is now offering weekly harvesting services to Upcountry, North Shore, Central and South Maui. Landowners get to decide if they would like to donate their produce or sell their produce. Produce donations will have donation receipts provided and will go to support the mission of Common Ground Collective or will be donated to other community organizations to help support their missions and get healthy produce to food insecure individuals.

Provides venue for the sale of new, low cost or used merchandise. Offers free vendor space to bonafide non-profit groups on 51 Saturdays a year. Vendors may register the day of the sale.
