(DHS Return to Homeland Program) Assists eligible Hawaii resident aliens and naturalized citizens in returning to their homelands outside of the United States. (Lanakila Meals on Wheels) Lanakila Meals on Wheels is Oahu's largest and only island-wide home delivery meal service program for seniors and people with disabilities, serving over approximately 200,000 meals each year. Provides frozen meals once a week delivered right to your front door. Someone must be home to accept deliveries usually Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. Please inquire about fresh produce home delivery. You may be eligible through the City and County Aging and Disability Resource Center or your health insurance provider for free meal service. Private pay via credit/debit card, online pay, check or SNAP EBT card available.

Prevents and suppresses outbreaks of vector-borne diseases and serious vector nuisances through inspections, surveillance, monitoring, enforcement, consultation and education in the control of harmful vermin such as insects that bite or are a public nuisance such as ants, sand flies, and other insects. Also gives public advice on small animals and insects causing a problem in or near a home or building such as mice, roaches, flies, gnats, mites, rats, and nesting birds. Offers information and advice to individuals experiencing pest problems. Accepts birds that the public drops off for West Nile testing. They no longer spray for mosquitos.

Maintains a captive breeding facility and program for endangered birds, the World Center for Birds of Prey. Propagates and releases the endangered birds back into the environment. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hawaii provides: Free and confidential support services to injured victims and to families and close friends of those who have been killed, Range of free brochures, books on grief, and other literature, Court accompaniment and criminal justice system navigation, An annual candlelight vigil of hope and remembrance held during the holiday season, The possibility of serving on a “Victim Impact Panel” where victims share their stories with people who have been arrested for DUI. MADD Hawaii works closely with the Victim Witness Assistance Division of the Prosecutor's office, with youth programs and young teens in the prevention of underage drinking. Call for support groups for victims of impaired driving and homicide.

Operates a lawyer Alcoholics Anonymous support group with lawyer sponsors. Provides intervention services for attorneys or judges who are impaired either by substance abuse or have other problems such as mental illness. Confidential service with no records going to authorities of any kind, even within the legal community.

Disability and Communication Access Board reviews and assesses the problems, needs, services and resources in the State of Hawaii including, but not limited to, employment, education, social services, civil rights, public facilities, housing, vocational training, rehabilitation and recreation. The board publishes educational materials, sponsors workshops and provides technical assistance to industries/agencies, conducts research studies, advises State and County agencies on issues related to persons with disabilities, and conducts testing of sign language interpreters and issues state credential based on test results. The board administers the statewide program for parking for persons with disabilities. They serve as the designated state agency to coordinate state ADA compliance for access to services, employment, telecommunications, and facility and site design, establishes state guidelines for communication access services for persons with disabilities, establishes state guidelines for parking for persons with disabilities, and maintains a statewide database for parking placard. Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, tennis courts and outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring, and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music and dance, seasonal activities and crafts, excursions and swimming. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

The Red Cross provides disaster response to those affected by disasters in East Hawaii County and shares critical preparedness information to the community so that people can prepare before a disaster strikes. All disaster response and disaster training are provided at no charge. Training classes such as first aid, CPR and Lifeguarding are available for a fee. Offers multipurpose senior programs and congregate meals. Serves as a focal point for service delivery and presentations by other agencies.

Offers college programs and classes, students can transfer to UH Manoa, UH West Hawaii and UH Hilo upon completion of the associate and arts degree at Hawaii Community College and other requirements. The Student Services office provides information on financial aid, program requirements, distance learning, admissions, tuition, student rights, registration, and other academic regulations. The UH Center at West Hawaii coordinates access to courses and programs from University of Hawaii system.

(IOP) The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an intensive psychotherapeutic program designed to treat substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Services include group therapy, individual counseling, and toxicology testing. Sessions are often done as a group. Clients go home each night, rather than living at a treatment center. Clients attend IOP groups 3-5 days per week, for a total of 9-15 hours per week.

(Therapeutic Crisis Homes) The Therapeutic Crisis Homes (TCH) program provides youth the opportunity to stabilize with trained TCH parents who provide them with support and guidance they need to return to their families safely. Services are offered to each youth based on his/her individual needs. Youth are provided with individual counseling and family counseling with the ultimate goal of reunification with their families within 3 to 7 days. Crisis Home Parents provide a safe environment for youth ages 5 years old - 17 years old to stabilize their emotional and physical situation in time of crisis. Services included support, guidance and individual as well as family counseling to stabilize the situation so that youth can reunite with their families within 3-7 days. Trained staff professionals also help to develop an after-care plan for families and referrals to public and private follow-up services.

Conducts a residential Christian program for men with alcohol/substance abuse and social adjustment problems. Program includes personal/group counseling,education, recreation, and work therapy to regain self-respect and living skills.
