Maximum Legal Services Corporation's mission is to provide legal assistance through trust administration, conservatorship and guardianship.

(Act 278) The Mediation Center of the Pacific has been contracted to administer the Eviction Mediation Pilot Program. This two-year pilot program requires early and free mediation between landlords and tenants before eviction for nonpayment of rent. The program runs February 5, 2026 - February 4, 2028. Tenants have 10 calendar days to respond to an eviction notice. If a tenant requests mediation in 10 day notice period, then the landlord must participate before filing for eviction. Mediation sessions are online via Zoom or in person, per request. For landlords, visit the website for more information and to submit a Landlord Intake Form to start the process. (KHS) The Community Care Center offers preventative care and treatment of conditions that are non-life threatening. Low-cost medical exams to pet-owners offered via a PetSmart Charities grant to owners on a walk-in basis.

The purpose of the COVID-19 Emergency Response Volunteer at Hawaii State Hospital is to help the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital staff in its efforts to reduce spread of COVID-19 at the Hospital and in the community we serve. The volunteer will also help with efforts to inform staff, patients, family members of patients, and others in the Hospital's service community on how they can help reduce risk of spreading or contracting COVID-19. Volunteers will help by using, modeling, informing and educating staff and others at the Hospital in safe physical distancing ("social distancing" six feet or more), using electronic communications and internet-based group communications apps to hold meetings, practicing hand hygiene, and special infection control measures to prevent transmission of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Volunteer roles may include, as needed:

• Assist Hospital Administration sort, convey and communicate incoming CDC, DOH and other COVID-19 information
• Assist with written communication

Conducts professional development training and provides ongoing technical assistance to increase capacity and sustainability of youth-serving organizations. Creates, coordinates and sustains multi-agency partnerships and collaborations. Facilitates the Hawaii Interagency State Youth Network of Care (HISYNC). Conducts needs assessment, planning, and public policy development. Current focus areas include youth homelessness, foster care, teen pregnancy and STI prevention, sexual abuse prevention. Ensures a youth voice in public policy through an annual Hawaii Children and Youth Summit.

(Society for Konas Education and Art) Offers Kona schools a "menu" of art (performing, literary & visual) activities for teachers. Works with the teachers to expand upon curriculum themes. Sponsors a youth group to advise on youth programs. Offers art workshops for adults & children and special events such as concerts and ho'olaulea. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Silvercrest Senior Housing is an affordable senior housing program for seniors 62 years old or older. The housing facility is located in Central Oahu and provides a supportive living environment that is sensitive to the needs of individual residents. Call for application information, other eligibility requirements, and income restrictions. The current waitlist time is about 2.5 - 3 years.
