Kahuku was the site of the first Rainbow School and has been operating continuously since 1972. We serve approximately 65 children ranging in age from 2 years to 5 years old. Our program is licensed by the State of Hawaii and all staff meet state licensing requirements. We accept DHS – Child Care Connection, Open Door, First-to-Work, Kamehameha Schools’ Keiki Pauahi Scholars Program, and Federal subsidies. All tuition payments are done through the FACTS Tuition Management program. Your child’s Form 14, current TB clearance and DHS 908 Form are required upon acceptance into the school. Parents are also responsible for a non-refundable registration fee of $175 upon acceptance. If there are no availabilities, your child’s application will be placed on the center’s waitlist. Please contact the Center Director directly to set up a visit.

(Our Lady of Kea'au Spiritual Retreat Center) This is a retreat center located along 58 acres of the Waianae Coast, available to nonprofits for community and business meetings, conferences, and celebrations. Guests have access to furnished cabins, an outdoor kitchen, dining facilities, tennis courts, a swimming pool and open fields. As an extension of service to the community, Our Lady of Kea`au also prepares and serves meals for the homeless in the Waianae area. It also maintains a Christian homeless tent community on the premises.

We are a local nonprofit agency that is part of a national network of organizations and individuals committed to improving Hawaii's maternal, child and family health through collaborative efforts in public education, advocacy and partner development. We offer a MothersCare Hotline, an online resource directory, and a health text messaging resource called Text4Baby. A coalition that promotes a better system of care for pregnant and parenting women and their families. Activities include helping pregnant women get prenatal care and health insurance, producing perinatal education and information, and conducting trainings to Hawaii's perinatal providers. (LISS) Parents And Children Together (PACT) provides families in need on Lanai a number of services including comprehensive counseling and support services, voluntary case management, family strengthening services, foster care and adoption support, and supervised visitation. After hours appointments/groups available.

Operates a thrift store selling low cost clothing, furniture, household goods, toys and more. Proceeds benefit vocational training and job placement programs for people with barriers to employment. Donation drop off in the back of the store.

(Na Kia i O Maui, Lahaina Resource and Recovery Center) Na Kia i O Maui provides household goods, furniture, daily essentials, and nonperishable food to fire survivors of Lahaina and Upcountry Maui and March 2026 Kona Low flood survivors. Muck and cleaning kits may be available.

(Family Center and Immigrant Resource Center, Family and Economic Opportunity Center, C-BASED program, Competency-BASED Community School Diploma Program, Competency BASED Community School Diploma Program) The Economic Opportunity Center (EOC) provides workforce development, job readiness training, and financial literacy training for families and individuals who are underemployed or unemployed. EOC helps clients develop their potential, provides technical assistance, and assists in removing personal barriers to employment through one-on-one coaching. EOC partners with local employers to provide pipelines to employment for underserved workers.

Habitat for Humanity Hawaii Island offers affordable homeownership and home repair opportunities in Hawaii County. General qualifications include a need for housing, willingness to partner, and ability to pay an affordable mortgage or repair loan which go toward future Habitat home builds and repairs. We fundraise for our programs through our ReStores where we provide a wide range of donated new and gently used items at budget-friendly prices. This preserve the environment by keeping reusable items out of the landfill.

Settles claims between two or more parties in a simple and informal manner. Handles cases for recovery of money up to $3,500 and landlord/tenant disputes about security deposits and regular civil claims not exceeding $20,000, except for summary possession cases. (Day at the Beach) AccesSurf builds an inclusive community that empowers people with disabilities through accessible beach and water programs. Day at the Beach typically takes place at White Plains Beach on the first Saturday of each month. There are occasional special program days (i.e. flat water days on the Windward side, or surf day at Queens Beach in town). All events are posted on our website, https://www.accessurf.org.
