Waikiki Health's HIV Early Intervention Services Program is committed to the early detection and treatment of HIV, which can help prevent the onset of AIDS and other opportunistic infections. Confidential HIV and Hepatitis C testing and counseling are available at the Waikiki Health’s Ohua Clinic in Waikiki and Makahiki Medical and Dental Clinic in McCully/Moiliili. Our prevention services team offers a wide variety of programs designed to reach individuals at risk for confronting HIV. (Specialized Mediation) Mediation services involving divorce, post-divorce and custody issues.

Provides social casework, pre-sentence investigation, and supervision of adults convicted of misdemeanor offenses and traffic violations. All clients are Court ordered for misdemeanor offenses for pre-sentence reports or on supervision for maximum of one year for each case referred. (Youth Build Honolulu) Provides an educational and job training program that prepares its participants for responsible citizenship. Participants are non-high school graduates, 16-24 years of age, with personal histories filled with alcohol and drug abuse, criminal activities, and limited financial resources. Is the last chance for individuals to earn a high school diploma and develop skills to prevent future incarceration, drug addiction, teen pregnancy, and long-term unemployment.

Basic dental hygiene and other optional procedures are rendered based on clinical and professional judgment of students and faculty. Basic procedures include oral examination and charting, scaling and polishing of teeth, and patient education. Since this part of the dental hygiene curriculum is to provide teaching-learning experiences, the Department reserves the right to select patients and the type of procedures to be rendered; and to refuse individuals who do not meet the teaching criteria. It should be emphasized that full dental service is not available and service is limited to procedures in dental hygiene.
