Shelter of Wisdom

Shelter of Wisdom rents homes which are shared by our men. Men live in double rooms with shared living areas and house chores. We provide intensive case management until our men are accepted into permanent housing. We provide household furnishings for their new homes, which are donated to us by the community. Men must maintain their sobriety, hygiene, medications, meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping and behavior.

Youth Independent Living Services - Kauai

(Positive Youth Development, OYS) Services youth ages 10 years old to 21 years old who are engaging in or at-risk of engaging in behaviors such as drug use, delinquency, and/or unprotected sex which lead to teen pregnancy. The program focuses on youth who are in crisis, have no basic necessities or no support systems and are approaching adulthood. We address areas of social well-being, knowledge, reasoning and creativity, vocational preparation, and social responsibility. Program activities address the following areas: youth leadership; educational development; community service and service learning; mentoring and intergenerational support; performing/visual arts and humanities; sports, fitness and health; self awareness and interpersonal dynamics; as well as basic money management/budgeting and job readiness.
