Makaha Community Center is partnering with Waianae Assembly of God to collect donations of food, clothing, furniture, appliances, and household items to distribution to others. We also support local Department of Education school incentive programs in the Nanakuli-Waianae complex to help promote academics and attendance. Most appliances can be donated except for dishwashers. Please call for more information.

Hawaiian Council is offering up to $5,000 in financial assistance to help individuals and families replace vehicles lost due to the recent floods and storms. This program is designed to restore mobility and support impacted households in returning to work, school, and daily life. Award amounts will be based on demonstrated need and the verified funding gap, up to a maximum of $5,000. Funds will help with purchasing a replacement vehicle, reimbursement of a vehicle that was already purchased, or help with an existing auto loan balance. Uvalde Foundation For Kids's Community Crisis Response Team provides emergency food, clothing and temporary housing assistance for at risk/homeless youth and families.

Designed for persons at risk for long term care placement. Accepts volunteers 16 years old or older, to assist in transporting residents, general office duties, music leaders, craft assistants, active games, religious services, pet therapy, ethnic groups, sewing craft projects, etc.

(VASH, Travelers Aid of Honolulu) The mission of Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) is to share Aloha with visitors who have been victims of a crime or other adversities, and to provide follow-up assistance and support in an effort to create a positive memory of their stay in our islands. The type of assistance provided varies on a case by case basis. Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii offers assistance and support through information and referrals, emergency ground transportation, and resources for meals and lodging. Assistance is also provided with changes to travel plans and for emotional support. We do not pay for airline tickets, hotel stays, medical or dental expenses, and funeral expenses.

(MEO) Works with people who have bad credit, no credit, low-income, and no measurable assets to provide assistance and guidance in the loan application process through loan approval from our Internal and External Loan Committees. Small business loans range from $500 to $10,000 to be used for startup operations or the expansion of an existing small business. Step loans are available after six months of on-time payments. A borrower can seek an additional $25,000 for expansion. Emergency loans ranging from $200 to $2000 are also available.
