(Hui Malama Ola Na Oiwi) We provide disease prevention and health promotion services through advocacy, accessibility, and education. We offer Case Management Services (such as home visits to conduct blood pressure checks, glucose checks, assistance with applications for medical insurance), and referrals to other health-related agencies. We also provide Health Education (Diabetes, Hypertension, Nutrition, and Tobacco Cessation), Traditional Healing Workshops and Classes, as well as one-to-one services by referral. Specialty Transportation provided to medical-related appointments (based on needs and availability)- for individuals restricted to a wheelchair or gurney.

(VWATS) The Vocational and Work Adjustment Training Services Program (VWATS) is designed to give individuals the opportunity to gain access to 1) opportunities in a variety of environments, 2) training with experts in the field of employment and 3) evaluations to meet the needs of individuals that are deemed Significantly Disabled and Most Significantly Disabled by Oahu’s Department of Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors. No-contact virtual training is also offered. The scope of this service is broad because it is organized to set a model to: Explore local and national job industry Utilize national evaluations to determine an employment profile to aid in gaining and maintaining employment Determine a good person environment fit for potential employment Develop resumes, cover letters and national assessments

(Food Bank) Hawaii Foodbank operates two AIB-certified warehouses on Oahu and Kauai where we receive, inspect, sort, store and distribute food to our communities. Food is sourced from manufacturers, growers, retailers, wholesalers, Feeding America, individual and corporate food drives and federal commodities where our staff and volunteers prepare these items for safe and efficient distribution through our partnership of more than 200 agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, domestic abuse shelters and rehabilitation centers. Food distribution is also through food pantries in local communities and the Ohana Produce Plus program, which provides fresh produce and assorted groceries to anyone in need while supplies last. Prevents, detects, diagnoses, controls and eradicates livestock diseases in order to promote the health and economic well-being of the livestock industries in Hawaii. Surveillance for regulatory diseases is conducted routinely to identify diseases which constitute a threat to the State's livestock industries and public health. (VLA) The VLA project focuses on disabled and elderly veterans and family members who are residents of the state of Hawaii and who want assistance with filing benefits claims with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Also offers referrals to volunteer attorneys through VLSH's pro bono program for legal advice and direct services for: Family Law, Tenant Rights, Collections and Bankruptcy, Estate Planning/Probate, Re-Employment and Community Service Program (Oahu only).
