Founded by a group of people with OCD in 1986, the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) is an international not-for-profit organization made up of people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders, as well as their families, friends, professionals and others. The mission and goals of the IOCDF are to:

• Educate the public and professionals about OCD in order to raise awareness and improve the quality of treatment provided;
• Support research into the cause of, and effective treatments for, OCD and related disorders;
• Improve access to resources for those with OCD and their families;
• Advocate and lobby for the OCD community.

(Alanon Family Group Kauai, Alateen Kauai) Al-Anon is a worldwide fellowship of those who feel their lives have been deeply affected by someone else’s drinking. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Members, who come from all walks of life, meet to share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. Alateen is a recovery program for teenagers whose lives have been affected by someone else's drinking. (Family Peace Center - Maui) Maui Family Peace Center teaches non-violent problem-solving skills for families struggling with adult aggression and behavioral dysfunction, emphasizing partnership, equality, and respect among families. Support for survivors/victims and child witnesses of domestic violence that includes individual and group counseling, case management, parental classes, community referrals and legal system advocacy. Support for offenders includes violence intervention groups. Adolescent services provided free of charge for those in need of effective problem solving skills to manage anger and/or those exhibiting violent behavior and anger control issues; anyone can refer themselves or a family member. Community education and training for schools, community groups, and agencies available.

The Hawaii Health Systems Foundation (HHSF) operates across all the Hawaiian islands and Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) regions. HHSF was designed to raise funds and obtain gifts and grants for the benefit of the HHSC.

Enforces laws relating to firearms, ammunition and dangerous weapons. Monitors activities on public beaches for compliance with state laws. Participates with search and rescue efforts locally.

Adult day care services for senior citizens of all ethnic backgrounds. Services include daily exercises, arts and crafts, socialization, outings, local entertainment, and other mentally and physically stimulating activities. We also offer bathing for an additional charge. Late Fee of $250 assessed per 30 days outstanding.

(Pathway of Hope, Salvation Army Kauluwela Community Assistance Center) The Salvation Army Community Assistance Center provides financial assistance for rent and utilities, pending funding availability. The program also offers intensive case management services known as Pathway of Hope (POH). POH is for families who are ready to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and move towards self-sufficiency.

Administers both the home delivery of meals and the congregate meal programs. Monitors overall condition of homebound during meal delivery. Coordinates congregate meals at a low cost. Offers leisure actvities, special events and educational sessions in consumer awareness and support services.

(Rapid Re-Housing) The program assists individuals and families who are imminent risk of homelessness to quickly become re-housed or to avoid eviction. Most referrals through the Coordinated Entry System (CES).

(Positive Youth Development, OYS) Services youth ages 10 years old to 21 years old who are engaging in or at-risk of engaging in behaviors such as drug use, delinquency, and/or unprotected sex which lead to teen pregnancy. The program focuses on youth who are in crisis, have no basic necessities or no support systems and are approaching adulthood. We address areas of social well-being, knowledge, reasoning and creativity, vocational preparation, and social responsibility. Program activities address the following areas: youth leadership; educational development; community service and service learning; mentoring and intergenerational support; performing/visual arts and humanities; sports, fitness and health; self awareness and interpersonal dynamics; as well as basic money management/budgeting and job readiness. Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music and seasonal activities, crafts, and excursions.
