(HI HELPS) Provides access to the enrollment process via smartphone, iPad, laptop, desktop, zoom call, standard phone call or referral to community health centers for walk-ins. Uses a needs assessment tool to determine appropriate health insurance option, including retiree/federal or veteran insurance as well as marketplace, medicare and medicaid solutions. Guides consumers through the healthcare.gov marketplace eligibility and application process using a direct enrollment pathway. The system reduces need for complicated identity verification modules and allows the enrollee or a marketplace assister select a plan and enroll in under 15 minutes. Reviews eligibility information and enrollment forms to help individuals who may qualify for medicare, medicare savings programs and/or medicaid programs. Refers individuals to appropriate state or federal agencies for issues that require investigation and follow up. Compares plan benefits, pricing, deductibles and services that are not covered. Uploads required documents to facilitate marketplace enrollments. Monitors enrollments for acceptance, premium payments and issuance of member identification cards. Assists with cancellation of the marketplace plan if no longer needed. Trains team of community certified application assisters and monitors annual recertification and credentials. Ensures all activities are compliant and meet federal and state regulations including protected health information mandates. Develops and distributes outreach materials to community health centers, food bank distribution locations, and other venues where the newly unemployed utilize resources available due to the pandemic. No face to face contact needed to enroll and those that qualify for Medicaid will be contacted by Medicaid with eligibility results and/or approval. Health premium subsidy based on household income. (KHS) Until February 2024, a Grant-in-Aid program from the State of Hawaii keeps the cost of the spay and neuter services to $35 per animal and includes a microchip if the animal needs one. Surgery must be paid for in advance and is Non-Refundable. Funding assistance for qualified individuals may be available through our Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP). Please see your regular vet prior to scheduling surgery if you have any health concerns. Kauai Humane Society reserves the right to deny surgery to any animal. Dogs must arrive on a leash. Cats must arrive in an enclosed carrier. Small animals must arrive in an enclosed carrier.

The program provides daily respite for individual and family caregivers as well as provides participants with educational, social, health and recreational opportunities. ADH participants have a full-range of activities to choose from including: the option to go on daily excursions, enjoy art programs, volunteer in the community, attend computer classes with the aid of assistive technology, learn money skills, participate in weekly hula classes or give back to the community through recycling programs. Transitional housing for HIV+ individuals who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. Participants may stay between 3 and 24 months; there is on-site curricula, one-on-one counseling, and group activities. Participants pay 30% of income towards rent. Not a hospice or treatment facility, but ensures that participants are connected to needed primary medical care and support services.

Read To Me International promotes reading aloud as a means to raising children who love and value reading. It bases its mission, "To share the love and joy of reading aloud," on research and best practices through the following activities: presentations and workshops to parents, educators, and caregivers; book fairs; biennial read-aloud conferences featuring authors and illustrators; prison literacy; programs for mothers, including one for those living in transitional housing; and special events, including reading to children in schools, preschools, and service organizations. Read To Me International Foundation is devoted to improving children's literacy. Its mission is to promote the love and joy of reading aloud to children. Imua Autism Services works with children up to 6 years old using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is an evidence-based, therapy that focuses on improving social skills, communication and human behavior and is an effective method to help children with autism and other developmental disabilities learn the skills they need to move forward. Imua Family Services understand that each child learns differently. Our goal is to provide an interactive, fun, play-based learning program. We take a collaborative approach incorporating family members and caregivers to develop a comprehensive plan. We work to personalize educational programs for both the child and parents using interviews, observations and natural environment assessments. Imua Family Services also provides ABA services through our Therapeutic Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness Program.
