(KIPC, Car Seat and Booster Seat Safety, CPS) Keiki Injury Prevention Coalition (KIPC) provides a network of Car Seat Inspection Stations, technicians, and instructors certified in caregiver education on correct child restraint use and installation. KIPC provides appointments at Inspection Stations and conducts car seat checks at community events on Oahu. KIPC also provides standardized certification training for new technicians, and updates for those currently certified.

(MEO) Provides accessible transportation service for the youth, elderly, disabled, and general public of Maui County. Services include non-emergency medical transport, demand response, and specialized service to also include 'fee-for-service" operations.

(DHS Return to Homeland Program) Assists eligible Hawaii resident aliens and naturalized citizens in returning to their homelands outside of the United States. This service is not for temporary relocation or vacation but to permanently return to live there. Call for further information and other requirements.

2-1-1 of West Tennessee.

Provides information and referral, peer counseling, advocacy, independent living skills training, and transition services to post-secondary life, including employment, facilitating the transfer of individuals from nursing homes and other institutions to home and community-based residences for persons with disabilities living in Hawaii.

(PAT) Increase Your Keiki’s Opportunity for School Success! Program for families of prenatal moms, infants and toddlers called “Parents As Teachers,” or PAT - a home-based program for families that begins before your keiki is born until a keiki turns three. Through home visits, we support parents with practical, research-based strategies and activities to support the importance of enhancing school readiness during these critical and formative years of a keiki’s life. These strategies enhance parent child interactions, strengthen ohana relationships and support parents in being their keiki’s first and most influential teacher. Literacy is a major focus of PAT, books are used in every visit. The “Parents as Teachers” Foundational Curriculum is provided through supportive certified PAT parent educator’s home visits and screenings in assisting parents in understanding the latest neuroscience research and how it relates to their keiki. (SEE, SEE Hawaii Work) Provides job training, placement, and retention services for individuals receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TANOF), Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) assistance services.

(Hale Ho'ola Hamakua) Operates 50-bed facility, which provides intermediate care nursing, skilled nursing, laboratory work, and x-rays. Provides acute care services.

(SASS, Empowering Alternatives Program, EAP, Sexual Assault Response and Advocacy Services, SARAH) Operates a 24-hour crisis hotline for persons affected by a sex assault, including women, men, girls and boys. Offers information, referral and direct support to any person victimized. Support is also provided during police, medical examinations and legal matters surrounding the crime, advocacy, counseling, and therapy.

(Meals, Peanut Butter Ministry, PBM) Hilo United Methodist Church provides a meal for dinner for those in need.

Energy Literacy Workshops - Provides hands-on group workshop to provide practical energy efficiency and conservation tips, workshop teaches how to reduce energy use at home and save money. Energy Smart 4 Homes Program, (ES4H Program) for multifamily properties - free program to under-served population especially if renting at an apartment building, transitional property, homeless shelter, etc. Agency surveys the property and determines what energy efficient opportunities are available, can upgrades lighting and water fixtures for FREE. Technology includes LED light bulbs, high-efficiency shower heads, advanced power strips, and high-efficiency faucet aerators for the kitchen and bathroom. Provide new energy efficient appliances like refrigerators at a steep discount to the property owner/manager, look at retrofitting the water heaters to a more energy efficient system. Hawaii Energy does not provide emergency utility bill assistance or emergency crisis intervention for disconnetion notice.

The Hana Like Home Visitor Program works with families to provide supportive coaching to teach strategies that enhance the parent or caregiver’s skills to provide a safe, healthy, nurturing environment for children ages birth to 3 years old. Home visitors also work with prenatal mothers to support a wide range of maternal-child health.
