Girl Scouts' leadership development program builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Through leadership programs in STEM, Outdoor Experience and Financial literacy and Entrepreneurship girls learn to discover, connect and take action to fulfill their potential as leaders and to improve their communities.

Lift HI Foundation offers tailored training-to-good job pathways, in partnership with local employers like Hawaii Pacific Health, that make it easy for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) households to participate. We proactively recruit applicants within communities, geographic or otherwise, with high levels of ALICE households. Our training timetable is a free, full-time training program. Two-fifths of our training focuses on skills such as goal-setting, culture, communication, and managing conflict among others. We currently provide “income replacement” (equivalent to the minimum wage). We partner with employers who are engaged actively throughout training who help with all or part of technical/clinical training, opportunities to visit and shadow in a clinical setting, pre-graduation job interviews, and preferred job consideration. We also contract former graduates to assist our graduates in navigating their new jobs and life.

Analyzes soil and plant tissue, diagnoses plant diseases, identifies insects, and analyzes feed. Assists with crop recommendations. Provides information and recommendations on backyard and garden weeds. Provides plant insect control advice. Accepts reports of plant disease problems.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Provides job search and placement services including assessment counseling, and referrals. Provides labor and market information. Cooperates with agencies involved with federal and state job training programs. Refers clients to job training programs. Provides resume and job search preparation workshops.

Provides outpatient medical care including diagnosis and treatment of illness/injury. Offers lab testing on site. X-ray services on site. Offers specialty care in cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, surgery, neurology and sleep disorders, orthopedics, optical shop, contact lens, diabetes education, ob-gyn, and urology.

Operates a multi-purpose cultural center which includes a 1,200 seat theater for local community and visiting professional groups, a visual arts gallery for local and visiting exhibitors, a Hula staging area for Hawaiian cultural events, an open air amphitheater for various usages and a courtyard staging area for informal and formal gatherings. Offers rehearsal space, stage scene production space and two classrooms for dance and theatrical programs. Offers meeting and conference rooms.

Maintains information resources, i.e. books, magazines, musical recordings, video and audio tapes, State and County government documents and Hawaiiana materials. Provides fax service to send messages to State legislators. Provides access to wi-fi and telephone reference service.

Provides outpatient medical care including diagnosis and treatment of illness/injuries, ob-gyn and physical exams. Offers urgent care after regular office hours. Provides lab tests and x-rays.

Waikiki Health’s Tobacco Treatment Program services include free counseling with a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, nicotine replacement therapies, personalized Quit Plans, and more.

Provides transportation assistance for patients with cancer. Road to Recovery program - volunteers drive patients to doctor appointments and medical treatments. Bus Passes and Handi-Van Coupons - availability is limited to those in active treatment. Taxicab - limited trips for those that are unable to access volunteers, bus or handi-van. Air Fare interisland and mainland - for patients not covered by other insurance coverage. Reduced rate lodging - at hotels in Hawaii for patients who must travel for treatment. Hope lodge - free overnight housing for patients traveling to the mainland for treatment.

(IOP, Safe Haven Intensive Outpatient Program - Oahu) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) service persons with mental health illness and drug/alcohol problems. Services are voluntary and conducted in groups.

Private school includes grades PK-12 for boys and girls.

(Laulima, Lokahi tree) The Laulima Giving Program (hands working together) partners with companies and the local communities to assist struggling families by donating goods, retail gift cards, etc.

Maintains a sanitary and healthful environment through prevention, inspection, education, and enforcement activities. Inspects food and food service establishments, milk plants, frozen dessert manufacturing plants, dairy farms, hotels and other multi-dwelling units, adult family care homes, intermediate care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, public swimming pools, barber and beauty shops, mortuaries, embalmers, tattoo parlors and artists, massage parlors and other general public health nuisances.

Promotes historical interest in Lahaina. Operates and maintains Baldwin House Museum, Hale Aloha, Hale Pa'i, Hale Paahao', Master's Reading Room, Seaman's Hospital, Wo Hing Museum. Conducts restoration of Lahaina landmarks.

(Ka'u Rural Health Clinic) Provides medical services and family practice.

Donate items to Goodwill Industries of Hawaii at this attended donation center.

Experiential summer program, school credits recovery, case management and support for youth at risk or suspended from school.

(ALA Hawaii Girls State Foundation, ALA Hawaii Girls State) One week leadership and civics engagement camp in the summer for rising girls that are seniors in high school.

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.

Maintains professional association for attorneys. Mediates/arbitrates fee disputes. Helps with judicial administration of courts. Formal Complaints against attorneys handled by Disciplinary Counsel.

Attempts to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Maui County by increasing public awareness and promoting public support, education and participation in art and cultural activities.
