Develops programs at each school based on school community and parent needs. Coordinates parent volunteers for special activities, e.g., classroom aides. Provides parent education, homework center, tutoring, literacy program, support groups, and workshops.

Accepts volunteer drivers with valid driver's license and safe driving record. Volunteers will be transporting veteran's to and from VA medical appointments. Office is located on Tripler Army Medical Center grounds.

Issues permits for hiking, hunting and taking of plants from reserve areas. Sells seedlings for Christmas trees, reforestation and wind breaks. Manages public hunting areas, public hiking areas, forest reserves, wildlife sanctuaries, natural areas reserves. Accepts reports of forest pests, including new and unusual weeds and certain birds. Pest reports accepted include: wild pigs, snakes, large lizards, ferrets, the banana poka (a weed), the bulbul (a bird) on neighbor islands, and the mongoose on Kauai.

(EHCY, Homeless Concerns Office) State of Hawaii Department of Education's Youth Education Stability Project provides resources for homeless families. Families who find themselves grappling with homelessness have rights under the McKinney-Vento Act to ensure their children continue uninterrupted access to education and services. (Lanakila Baptist School) Private Christian based school includes grades PK-5 for boys and girls.

Program matches volunteers (some of whom may be home-bound themselves) with home-bound participants. The calls provide an opportunity for social engagement; as well as status updates. The volunteer checks in via telephone daily, weekly, or monthly (as scheduled); providing medication reminders and wellness checks.

(Hoomanea Oiwi - Youth Employment and Training Program) Provides employment and training services for adults including job training, career counseling and placement, GED attainment and tuition assistance at the Hale O Na Limahana office.

On the 4th Saturday of every month, we welcome the public to Pia Valley to meet members of our local conservation community and help restore the biodiversity and resilience of the ahupuaa. Activities include: -A short 6-minute hike from the Anolani Street cul-de-sac to the restoration site in Pia Valley. -Hear a brief history of the area, our organization, watershed health, native ecosystems, and the cultural importance of ahupuaa land management. -Sing an oli (Hawaiian chant) and go over invasive species identification, removal, and safety protocols, -Participate in light clearing, watering, weeding, and planting.

Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with or at risk for developmental delays and their families. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges via parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.

(Help Understanding and Group Support Respite Program) HUGS schedules respite services for enrolled HUGS member families who meet medical eligibility requirements. Volunteers are needed.

The Hawaii Internet Crime Against Childrent (ICAC) Task Force is part of a cooperative nationwide network of ICAC Task Forces that are dedicated to protecting children in the online environment. In order to accomplish this goal, our ICAC Task Force makes internet education and safety programs and information available for Hawaii's children, teachers, and parents. If prevention efforts fail, Hawaii's ICAC Task Force is ready to vigorously investigate and prosecute persons who victimize children through the use of computers and the internet.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households.
