Operates a comprehensive treatment program for chemically dependent adult men and women. Length of stay varies, based upon the severity of addiction and response to treatment. Includes individual, group, family counseling, and psycho-educational skill building seminars. Family participation is strongly encouraged. Operates an after-care program for former clients.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Ohana Makamae offers Domestic Violence Intervention through our Batterer's Intervention Program (BIP).  This service is for individuals who are perpetrators of domestic violence.  Our aim is to help clients achieve and maintain healthy lifestyles that promote growth, balance and wellness; and to provide a safe place where they can gain understanding and knowledge into their behaviors.  Through our  Batterer's Intervention Program our clients can meet their obligations to the courts and become empowered to make right choices.Our BIP program utilizes the “Alternate Behavior Choices” (ABC) curriculum; a research-based domestic violence curriculum by John Hamel, PhD, LCSW. The Alternate Behavior Choices curriculum is appropriate for both voluntary and court-mandated individuals, and exceeds the legal requirements for batterer intervention programs in Hawaii.

Roots Reborn provides extensive legal support to the immigrant community in Maui through pro bono and low bono services and partnership with experienced immigration attorneys. This includes document replacement, legal representation for complex cases, and advocacy against policies that threaten immigrant rights. We also host Know Your Rights trainings, aimed at empowering our community through education of their constitutional rights, regardless of immigration status.
