The Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society (HPGS) raises funds and awards scholarships each year to Undergraduate and Graduate students interested in careers involving aging and older people and students who have a serious interest in professional work related to aging, long-term care, and/or death and dying. Provides custom made hair-pieces for children to the age of 21 who suffers from permanent or long-term hair loss. Hairpieces are made by hand from donated ponytails.

(MGF Hawaii, MGF Hawaiʻi, Prince Lot Hula Festival) Moanalua Gardens Foundation (MGF Hawaii) puts on the Prince Lot Hula Festival every year. Our current programs include our annual Prince Lot Hula Festival held the third Saturday and Sunday in July, our Malama Kamananui Environmental STEM Education Program in Kamananui Valley, our Ka Leo O Na Opio Leadership Academy for youth 13 years old - 24 years old, and our Ka Wai Ola STEM, Clean Water focused, Work-based Learning Program.

(Kapiolani Cord Blood Program, HCBB) Donating cord blood can save someone’s life. The umbilical cord blood contains the same kind of special cells as bone marrow, and like bone marrow, has been used in transplants to cure patients with otherwise fatal diseases. It’s safe, it’s free, and it’s confidential. If uncollected, umbilical cord is discarded as medical waste. Hawaii Cord Blood Bank (HCBB) offers umbilical cord donation at all 5 birthing hospitals on Oahu (Kapiolani, Queens, Kaiser, Tripler and Adventist Health Castle).

We provide a fun and safe place for youth to gather. A variety of youth activities offered to youth ages 8 to 18.

Maintains information resources, i.e. books, magazines, musical recordings, video and audio tapes, State and County government documents and Hawaiiana materials. Provides fax service to send messages to State legislators. Provides access to wi-fi and telephone reference service.

(Youth Build Honolulu) Provides an educational and job training program that prepares its participants for responsible citizenship. Participants are non-high school graduates, 16-24 years of age, with personal histories filled with alcohol and drug abuse, criminal activities, and limited financial resources. Is the last chance for individuals to earn a high school diploma and develop skills to prevent future incarceration, drug addiction, teen pregnancy, and long-term unemployment.

Scholarships are given as a reimbursement for the tuition of college-level courses in early childhood education, for Professional and Career Education for Early Childhood (PACE) classes taken if converted to college credits, or for direct assessment fees in obtaining a Child Development Association (CDA) certificate. Scholarships are available for anyone who successfully completes the above (Fiscal year basis & based on availability of funds). We conserve nature by achieving results--results restoring species in jeopardy, conserving habitat, educating students, training conservationists, providing factual information to the public, and by accomplishing good science. We succeed through cooperation and hard-work, using common sense, being hands-on and non-political, and by emphasizing solutions.

(Maui Community Theater) We offer: a full season of community theater productions, youth productions, dance concert, Fringe Festival, free ONO productions and more. Youth and Adult acting and dance classes. Multiple volunteer opportunities. Venue rental.

(Crime Stoppers) Provides law enforcement, criminal investigation and crime prevention. Investigates accidents and provides traffic control. Registers firearms. Accepts information on missing persons. HPD does not handle driver's licensing or motor vehicle registration, abandoned vehicles or safety inspections (these are provided by Department of Finance, Motor Vehicle & Licensing Division).

(Food Pantry) Provides food pantry to those in need. Offering Drive-Through services during COVID-19.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building, basketball, volleyball, tennis courts, and fields. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, and seasonal activities. Registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

(CARE Program) Provides comprehensive, coordinated and compassionate forensic health services to children who are victims and suspected victims of abuse and neglect.

Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls.
