Village Harvest is a volunteer-based Kauai gleaning program that harvests and donates produce to those in need. We strive to bridge the gap between food waste and food insecurity by utilizing food left over from harvests on personal properties and farms. The produce gleaned is donated to food pantries, youth programs, and home deliveries for homebound and houseless. We also distribute and install food trees throughout the community to increase direct access to produce into the future, contributing to long-term food security.

The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA Hawaii) provides year-round education and workforce training through its Construction Training Center of the Pacific. Our programs are designed to meet the evolving needs of Hawaii’s construction industry, offering practical, certification-based training for both new entrants and experienced professionals. Current offerings include: OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 construction safety training; CPR, First Aid, and AED (in-person and hybrid options); Forklift, Aerial Lift, and Equipment Operation; Supervisor Leadership Training; Specialized safety courses including Fall Protection, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Silica Awareness, and more; NAHB courses in estimating, scheduling, marketing, business management, and risk mitigation; USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management training. US Military Index: Index of individuals in the United States military who died, or were declared dead, in Korea or Vietnam (1950-1975). 6. Personal Ancestor File software available for use on computers on library to make your own family records. 7. Hawaii delayed birth records index on computer.

Conducts public education on marine and fresh water information through community and educational groups.

Maintains information resources, i.e. books, magazines, musical recordings, video and audio tapes, State and County government documents and Hawaiiana materials. Provides fax service to send messages to State legislators. Provides access to wi-fi and telephone reference service.
