(CSFP) The CSFP works to improve the health of low income elderly persons by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA foods. Participants must complete an application, be at least 60 years of age, reside on Oahu and have an income at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. (Feeding Hawaii Together, The Giving Tree (former name)) The Pantry by Feeding Hawaii Together employs a “grocery store style” experience where our clients are able to “shop online and pick-up food by appointment.” We offer a range of foods to choose from, all for free. By doing this, not only does The Pantry reduce food waste because our clients are taking the food they want every week, but we provide them with a 24/7 platform to order their food and pick it up at individually scheduled times. Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (HSCADV) is a coalition of organizations that serve survivors of domestic violence and their families. We provide education and training on domestic violence to service providers, community partners, and businesses, and develop resource for advocates and the community. We engage in public policy to improve survivor safety. We do not provide domestic violence services directly, but make referrals to appropriate agencies.

(Easter Seals Hawaii Kauai Home and Community Based Services) Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with special needs and their families. Services include - Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP) by professionals who work with parents to meet their child’s developmental goals. Parent coaching and family support from occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, special educators and social workers. Developmental evaluations. Resources, information, and referral services. Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into appropriate settings, such as the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Treatment Focus Areas are Cognitive, Language and Communication, Physical, Development, Social and Emotional, Adaptive/Self Care. Family plays a key role in a child’s life. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges presented by their child with special needs. The partnership between parents and professionals provides an opportunity for parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.
