Computer Coding and Robotics Program

The Computer Coding program utilizes the on-line Scratch application that was developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Lab.
Students learn basic coding skills to create their own computer games.
Students also learn the use of Adobe Photoshop to create logo designs for their games, animation, digital art and graphic designs.
Robotics utilize the Scratch application and children learn to work as teams to create and maneuver their robots.
Kaneohe - Parent Participation Preschool

Parent Participation Preschool is a three-phased program for parents to assist in their child's transition from home to school. Each phase requires a different amount of participation. The children progress through the program based on their development and mastered skills not age.
-Pueo (Phase 1): Children begin a foundational program where they are introduced to a more structured learning environment. The programs main focuses are colors, shapes, letter recognition, and more. The class meets twice a week for 2 hours. This class requires 100% parents participation.
-Honu Phase 2): Children entering Honu possess some basic, fundamental preschool abilities and are inspired to work independently, explore academics, use their creativity, and learn the importance of a daily routine. Honu focuses on phonic, basic math skills and writing. The class meets two or three times a week for 3 hours. This class requires parents to remain on site on his/her child's line leader day.
