Maintains a botanical garden with varieties of plants that conserve water. Tour also includes information on water-saving irrigation systems, mulches, and other xeriscape ideas. Group tours are available by appointment only. Honolulu Board of Water Supply and Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden offer educational workshops that feature xeriscape plants and gardening techniques that will help to conserve water outdoors. Provides housing, case management, and nutrition services to Hawaii residents on Island of Oahu with disabilities, including HIV/AIDS and have very low income. Housing services include transitional shelter, short-term rent assistance, utility assistance, security deposit assistance, and rental subsidy programs. Case management is provided in conjunction with housing assistance. Nutritional services includes grocery distribution, home delivery to the house bound, and twice weekly hot lunches.
