Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park

(Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park) Administers a national historical park in South Kona. Offers an opportunity to experience Hawaiian way of life as it was in the late 1700's. Conducts tours of the grounds by advance arrangement, including fish ponds, Hawaiian house models, native plants and the Hale o Keawe Heiau. The heiau is a temple that has been rebuilt; the original temple housed the bones of 23 chiefs. Pu'uhonua means a place of refuge or sanctuary.

H-HEAP primarily assists households by applying an energy assistance grant directly to the energy provider on behalf of the eligible household. Applications are accepted year-round. The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box.
