Stroke Rehabilitation Program

Assists persons recovering from mild to catastrophic strokes who may need to make major physical and psychological adjustments to cope with paralysis, speech problems, cognitive deficits, swallowing disorders, and visual perception difficulties. Assesses and treats swallowing disorders. Provides mobility training or wheelchair skills. Develops adaptive techniques and custom-designed equipment. Provides speech theraphy. Computer therapy for visual, perceptual, and cognitive training. Stroke Support Group meets every first Tuesday of each month from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific. Everyone (patient, family, caregivers, etc.) is welcome, there is no membership fee.

(Alaka'i Na Keiki) Alakai Na Keiki provides children, youth and adults with psychological and substance abuse assessments, sex abuse, mental health and substance abuse treatment as well as individual and group therapy.

Liko, Youth Entrepreneurship and Pahono Programs

Liko - We provide educational assistance to youth ages 5-24 who need additional assistance in meeting their educational goals. Youth Entrepreneurship Program - This program is open to youth ages 15-24 who have an interest in entrepreneurship, exploring career opportunities and expanding their general skills. Pahono - We currently partner with local schools to provide credit recovery or intensive support services for students who are at risk of failing their educational goals.

Microenterprise Loan Program

(MEO) Works with people who have bad credit, no credit, low-income, and no measurable assets to provide assistance and guidance in the loan application process through loan approval from our Internal and External Loan Committees. Small business loans range from $500 to $10,000 to be used for startup operations or the expansion of an existing small business. Step loans are available after six months of on-time payments. A borrower can seek an additional $25,000 for expansion. Emergency loans ranging from $200 to $2000 are also available.
