Disability and Communication Access Board reviews and assesses the problems, needs, services and resources in the State of Hawaii including, but not limited to, employment, education, social services, civil rights, public facilities, housing, vocational training, rehabilitation and recreation. Enhancements Program

Supports children who have been physically or sexually abused, or severely neglected. Funding is provided through foundation grants and private/business donations. The "Enhancements" include such needs as medical, dental, glasses, travel, sports fees, school graduation packages, classes in hula, ukulele, karate, as well as summer school or correspondence school courses, therapy and counseling, air fare so youth can participate in inter-island cultural and sports events, and orthodontia (braces). Also sponsors public education and community awareness activities and materials to help prevent child abuse in the community, as well as inform children and adults how to report or respond to a report of child abuse.
