Referrals are made to the 50 distribution sites throughout Kauai and specifically non-profit member agencies and churches on Kauai. (H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention - Leahi, LIHEAP ECI, ECI) Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) Energy Crisis Intervention (ECI) is designed to help families keep their utilities (gas or electric) on, especially those households that are most vulnerable, such as the elderly, the disabled, and households with young children. H-HEAP primarily assists households by applying an energy assistance grant directly to the energy provider on behalf of the eligible household. Applications are accepted year-round. Credit amount varies by household. Call the Leahi District Service Center for more information.

Provides services to immigrants with low-income to enable them to stabilize their immigration status in the country. The program assists applicants for US Citizenship, relative petition change of status and other family immigration petitions with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Hawaii Rx Card is a FREE prescription assistance program that is available to all citizens of Hawaii. The program was launched to help the uninsured, but it can also be used to discount drugs not covered by health insurance. There are no applications, fees, resrtictions, or eligibility requirements. The Hawaii Rx Card is accepted at all chain pharmacies. No personal information is required to get the card; no personal information is collected on processed prescriptions.
