(Alanon Family Group West Hawaii, Alateen West Hawaii) Al-Anon is a worldwide fellowship of those who feel their lives have been deeply affected by someone else’s drinking. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Members, who come from all walks of life, meet to share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. Alateen is a recovery program for teenagers whose lives have been affected by someone else's drinking. (Mana'olana Emergency Homeless Shelter) Provides emergency shelter for homeless individuals and families. Offers case management to help link residents to resources in the community to help stabilize them and begin to rebuild their lives. Mana’olana Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing is located adjacent the KEO office at 2808 Wehe Road, Lihue HI 96766. Also offers dinner meals, showers, sleeping and laundry facilities.

(Hospice Hawaii) Navian Hawaii is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of professionals and trained volunteers who meet the physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families in the comfort of their own homes as well as in other settings like its Kailua Home, nursing homes and other facilities. The non-profit organization offers Integrated Care for those with serious but treatable illnesses, and Hospice Care for those near their journey’s end, providing assistance with pain management and symptom control. Navian Hawaii provides caregiver support, grief counseling, and complementary therapies including art, aroma, massage, healing touch, and reiki. Navian Hawaii has offices on Oahu, Molokai and Lanai and accepts referrals 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Priority issues include: Free and appropriate public education, abuse and neglect; accessibility; employment; services; housing. During COVID19 pandemic, Intake is available via calls and online applications only until further notice. Intake hours remain the same.

(Opala, Plastic Bag Ban) Develops and administers City and County recycling programs. Provides island residents and businesses with information regarding current recycling programs and programs in development for the island of Oahu, including drop-off recycling centers, recycling for condos and businesses, backyard composting, workshops. Call about the Plastic Bag Ban that became effective on 7/1/15. Accepts green waste and Christmas trees at City facilities or directly at the composting sites.

Explains procedures and orients victims/witnesses to criminal justice system. Accompanies client to court. Provides information on cases. Promotes public awareness of victim/witness concerns. Provides referrals to community agencies if applicable. Assists victims with making restitution requests and filing for criminal injuries compensation when appropriate.

Receives, evaluates and distributes harvest data of commercial fish resources. Experiments with fish habitat and provides prawn seedlings as authorized. Maintains statewide fish aggregating buoy system to attract pelagic species.

They provide domestic water service through its 23 water systems throughout Hawaii island. Call to start or stop water service and billing questions. Water bill payments can be made at the Kona office.
