(Da Box) DA BOX is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. The Food Basket purchases Hawaii Island grown produce from our local farmers and resells to customers island-wide, keeping produce affordable and increasing small farm viability. DA BOX was created to both support local farmers and to provide affordable access to fresh, Hawaii Island grown produce. Each week of produce consists of a minimum of seven items, generally one to two fruits and five to six vegetables. The program website also provides free access to recipes, a "food for thought" community blog, and a "meet the farmers" section to introduce the community to the local farms and farmers, as well as a weekly newsletter.

(Hawaii Relief Program) Catholic Charities Hawaii has been contracted to administer the Hawaii Relief Program. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. Water expense may include sewer service fees. Payments are made directly to landlords, mortgage lenders, or utility providers. Youth identified as requiring intensive mental health services may be enrolled with the Department of Health (DOH) Family Guidance Center (FGC) located in the school district of their home school. They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. The youth may, and often will, continue to receive School-Based Behavioral Health (SBBH) services and supports from the Department of Education (DOE) in conjunction with the intensive mental health services.

(Easter Seals Hawaii Home and Community-Based Services, Easter Seals Hawaii Honolulu Services Center Adult Day Health Program) Adult Day Health (ADH) focuses on providing a small group environment that fosters growth, and challenges the adult participant to increase independence in a variety of community settings. Emphasis is placed on individual choice, allowing adults to pursue opportunities that match their interests and skills while promoting their dignity and independence. The program provides daily respite for individual and family caregivers as well as provides participants with educational, social, health and recreational opportunities. ADH participants have a full-range of activities to choose from including: the option to go on daily excursions, enjoy art programs, volunteer in the community, attend computer classes with the aid of assistive technology, learn money skills, participate in weekly hula classes or give back to the community through recycling programs. The Manoa Heritage Center is committed to preserving and interpreting the heiau, the Native Hawaiian garden, the historic home and the natural and cultural history of Manoa Valley for future generations. Volunteer opportunities to lead tours through botanical gardens that surround the historic home and ancient heiau. Adult tours and school tours are available, call for reservations and more information.

Early Childhood Services are provided to children three to six years old with delays in which age appropriate milestones are not yet met. These children typically fall outside the scope of the Department of Education & Special Education Services. The needs of each child are met through professional therapeutic services designed for the child to help them thrive in their home, preschool and community. Our goal is to better prepare the child for kindergarten and beyond by using family engagement techniques and strategies.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. The Maui Dance Council (MDC) was founded in 1978 and holds the mission to: Enliven the community and the classroom by inspiring, cultivating and supporting the artist in everyone. MDC cultivates the performing and creative arts in Maui County through: the Chance To Dance public school movement arts education program, professional development training for classroom teachers, community classes and Master workshops, and by advocating for the arts locally and nationally. Chance To Dance is a Standards based arts education program designed to stimulate the students’ imagination and original thinking through dance and music. By integrating dance and music with classroom curriculum, Chance To Dance helps children develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while self-expression and creativity are encouraged and fostered at a critical age.

Also offers referrals to volunteer attorneys through VLSH's pro bono program for legal advice and direct services for: Family Law, Tenant Rights, Collections and Bankruptcy, Estate Planning/Probate, Re-Employment and Community Service Program (Oahu only).
